An enhanced version of the Gordon Freeman model from Half-Life 2: Survivor, a Japan-only arcade version of Half-Life 2, available as a player model and ragdoll for posing.

The Survivor model was based on Valve's private render model used in official HL2 artwork, but suffered from some serious faults including dated shaders and a decimated head mesh riddled with issues. This aims to be the best possible version of the Survivor Gordon model, bringing a ton of fixes along with different bodies, enhanced textures, Episodic shaders, and last but not least a rebuilt head mesh from Gordon Freakman.


FEATURES:

- Full face, eye, and finger posing.
- A rebuilt head and glasses models thanks to Gordon Freakman, fixing a massive number of issues with the model used in Survivor.
- Enhanced face textures built from Valve's original texture, Left 4 Dead eye shaders (selected via skingroups), and proper bump and phong maps.
- Ragdoll with improved flexibility for better posing.
- Level of Detail support, meaning that lower detail meshes will be used at a distance which helps performance.
- Removable glasses.
- Survivor HEV, Romka's HEV, Black Mesa HEV, Citizen, Refugee, and Black Mesa Scientist outfit bodygroups.
- Normal, EP2 and Black Mesa skingroups. Use the Easy Bodygroup Tool to select them or hold C, right click the model and use the "bodygroup" and "skin" options.
- Player model with HEV first person arms. Also includes the above body/skingroups.
- Separate, ragdolled HEV suits and a prop version of the glasses.


NOTES/ISSUES:

- The ragdoll has NPC animations. You can use the Model Manipulator tool on the workshop to make him an NPC out of a citizen if you really want. I will not be making a "real" NPC out of this.

- The Survivor HEV...isn't that good. Questionable UVs, smoothing issues, etc. It also has the same finger setup as the Combine and CItizens. It's mainly included here for the sake of completeness and Romka's HEV is better for any serious usage.

- The Player Model HEV's aren't colorable because I suck at isolation. Sorry. This is also why I've opted to not allow the FPV arms to be colored.

@meierhans: No, but I've had bug reports in the past from people who've ended up extracting their .gma's and had issues after updates because of that.

I'll update this to include the old glasses textures which should fix these compatibility issues with addons like that one. Thanks for letting me know.

Yeah, I am using Zbase version of Gordon, maybe this is the cause.

Can workshop addons unpack themself ? I though they always stay as GMA.

@meierhans: At this point I can only assume that the missing lens textures are because the pre-update model is overriding the new one on your end. Maybe the old .gma was extracted into your addons folder, or other people's addons that were built on this one (like a full NPC Gordon) haven't been updated and are now overriding this somehow.

I also suffer from missing glasses texture, even after update. Maybe just add a convar to disable them? Then again as long as only gordon wears the pink glasses.. it is kind of cool.. ;-)

Okay, I just updated it and included the lens textures instead of pointing them over to Kleiner's textures. Hopefully that should fix this for anyone who had an issue with them.

im also getting the glasses as missing textures, kleiner's glasses arent changed at all for me

@Whatsoam303: They were changed to use the same textures and shaders as Kleiner for consistency reasons. If you're getting missing textures here it might mean that you have an addon doing something with that texture specifically that's conflicting with this one.

why are the glass shaders on gordon's glasses missing textures
