LordGood's Persian Castle

Description
Persian castle based on a gatehouse on Arg-e Bam, very much shortened ,and made of stone instead of mud brick.

I left plenty of boiling oil streaks for your convenience

Alright, makes sense.

@Jumbo The site may have been first fortified by the Achaemenids, but very clearly shows Sassanid and later development, as it shares many traits with other, later Persian castles. I doubt much aside from the terraced layout survives from antiquity.

Much like Byzantium was first settled by Greek colonists, that doesn't necessarily mean everything in Istanbul is dated back to the 6th century BC Greeks

So no, or yes, depending on how you look at it

Why use an ancient castle in a medieval game? How about using something a bit newer instead? At least something from the Sassanian or early islamic times.

Now that is what I want to see, proper persian style not an obvious Indian rip off. Shame there isnt a full architectural set.

@WeAreGoyim It's interior vaulting with a skylight, many are done in that way around bam castle, it creates more overhead space and more sturdily spans walls
