Havoc in the Ruhr

Description
The allies have crossed into the Ruhr. They have entered Garmany and the Nazis are done. Or are they? Last, secret stockpiles of westfront supplies and fuel have been released for one last offensive to throw the allies out of the Fatherland and negotiate terms. Can the allies crush this last German effort and head on to Berlin for the unconditional surrender Eisenhower demands before the Soviets take it? Team 1 ideally Allied with allied weapons, Team 2 ideally German with German weapons. Original map 8p Linden by Phoenix, ported from COH1, a great map maker. Modded here for Battleground Europe, changes include rebalanced capture points without bias to team 1, added territory points, all choke impassable groves removed, windmills refaced (all turning same direction) most stumps removed (it is the Ruhr), most residents no longer blind, most buildings in base area 8 removed (sorry Commandos), static AA and forward placed MG nests.

Don't apologize for that kind of thing! I'm not a mapper but I'm familiar with modding. I was planning to open it with the worldbuilder and see if I could see what was happening. I tried with spearhead 1 & 2 and was going to do with kriegspiel.

The error makes me think of the ones I had on COH1 which often were cause by conflicting mods.

I'm really bored by 50% of the workshop map being middle bridges / trenches standoffs or Relic's plains with 3 houses. Asymetic maps like these are really good, so thanks for the map rework.

@Agarast Sorry to hear that mate. The map was originally to go with the tuning mods, Battleground Europe and earlier versions of Kriegspiel, with which it performed well. At the moment I have no plans to do any more map modding with COH2. I'm enjoying SD2 and it's realism altogether too much. I do apologise if its not working with a tuning pack. Keep in mind, however, that the map is modded with the available tools and it should work just fine. When it is not, the fault is not necessarily with the map or the tuning pack, but with lazy coding within COH2. If it is the size of the map you like, you could try some of my others, they are all up there, similar perhaps is Battle for Iraq Mosul and D Day Cadiz, both with city areas and possibility to flank. The Mosul map has an added Lite variant with no weapons scattered all over creation if the tuning pack is not coping with them. Cheers, fight hard!

It's not working with most tuning mods, I think there's a prop or something that interferes with that, maybe a starting defense or a thing to grab like a weapon.

It was Insane,
Our first objective was to secure the village as bridgehead, but we were pushed back on our river side. It took us almost 2 hours to retake the village and secure it with antitank barriers.

Then we built a defensive line throught the marsh, more than 2 hours.

Finally we manage to get near their bases and destroy them.

We played only on 2/3 of the map

6 hours of continuous havoc :D

@kadajvirus Glad you like it mate. Keep in mind though that any map maker or modder is putting in a lot of their personal time to do these so no matter how good (or otherwise if people think so) a published map is, all efforts at doing so should be appreciated by the community. I'm not being at all critical of you mate (I should say thanks for your kind words), this is just a general observation of some comments I see left for various modders and the malicious voting that also occurs. @kadajvirus re-edited mate. There are several versions of this map. I make sure mine is different, particularly with the restructure of and additional capture points, reworking the city streets to make them passable and replacement of blind resident buildings, modding of the team areas and removal of those ridiculous groves that no amount of destructive firepower can alter and no heavy vehicle can crush.
