Description
The Straße des 17. Juni cuts through Berlin's Tiergarten (Central Park), starting at Brandenburger Tor (in the East), passing the Victory Column Siegessäule at the center of the park, then heading further west past the Charlottenburger Tor and the Technische Universität. This 40m wide east-west axis has witnessed centuries of historic events and has changed dramatically over the years. It has hosted massive public gatherings, like the "Football Fan Mile," countless parades, and only a few days ago saw a new world record set at the finish line of the Berlin Marathon. The thoroughfare has been modernized with triple-lamp Selux Urbi streetlights and has been adorned with newly planted Linden trees.

This is my first road, and I probably couldn't have completed it without the expert guidance of BadPeanut on Simptropolis[community.simtropolis.com]. Getting the median to cap off correctly and the cobblestones to have a nice normalmap was quite a challenge. Big thanks to MrMaison for his new Linden tree assets, to Armesto for the perfect planters, and to SvenBerlin for his multi-part rotor-shader-enabled bus stop shelters.

Category: Large Road
Type: 6-Lane with median, bike lanes, and wide sidewalks
Width: 40m (5 sectors; a non-standard size)
Includes: new ground segment & node, single & double-sided bus-stop segments, custom elevated segment & elevated node
Maps: 1024x1024 (diffuse, road, normal)

Use the Straße des 17. Juni Less Props Version for areas that require open space or manual decoration. The Soviet Memorial Tiergarten, seen in a few of the screenshots, will be my next asset which is coming soon! Can we get a version without cycle lanes?, since I don't have after dark and want to use it.

Thank you. I would do more if it was easier, but making roads is too difficult -- there are just dozens of pitfalls that will make your road not work or break. I spent a ton of time to try to make this road nice and do what I wanted, but I wouldn't try to do it again. Glad you like it so much tho!

You should do more roads like this. Two-lane, two-way with parking spaces, with a line of trees, with a green line, with a bus line. The same six-lane with the variants above. This is the most beautiful Cities road asset I've ever seen. These curbs with trees. This large paving stone on the sidewalks and the smaller one in the middle. Lamps. Amazing job.

Not the right lamp poles from the 1930`s still in place today...

It is possible for you to create a smaller version of this road, with similar pedestrian? Its a nice road btw sadly it looks weird when connected with smaller road at intersection since no road has similar pedestrian like ur asset

Hope to be back soon on that road again with the new Love Parade! Missed those epic party's from early 2000's :(

yeah I didn't do a custom bridge segment... only a custom elevated one. Glad you like it.

While on river, the bridge becomes normal in-game 6 lane with bike.
However this is beautiful road. :steamhappy:

can you please please make a version where the Medians still continue at a junction if there are no signals? like this one https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1317567564&searchtext=
