Introduction
This guide will show you all quests there are, requirements for those quests and rewards they grant.

Quests:
By completing quests you are able to gain prestige, increase your characters stats and gain treasure, a follower or even a Spirit Stone.

Each clan has a set of quests that are unique to that clan e.g. all Rabbit Clan heroes will have the same available quest options.

If you successfully complete the hero's 4th quest, the 5th quest will be inside the closest Palace wall square to hero's home. The quest acts as a key that allows them to bypass a Palace peril so that they can challenge the king (either in combat or with Spirit Stones).

Rot:
When Corrupted, you lose the ability to quest for Spirit Stones.

Random Encounters:
Sometimes, visiting certain tiles will open a quest-like pop up where you can choose a reward.

Random encounters have a small chance of occurring when a hero visits a tile under specific circumstances. You will have to choose between multiple responses, each with a different reward. Each hero can only trigger each encounter once per game.
There are currently 4 random encounters.

Story-based Quests
When completing quests, you are given a risky and a safe choice to finish the quest.

But in some instances, a 3rd story driven option will be presented, based upon your hero having a particular item / follower equipped, when completing that quest.

Druids
Druids can be encountered randomly when visiting a Stone Circle at night. They offer to Remove all Rot you have (Salvation), give a Spirit Stone, or give you the Moon Scythe Treasure. This is the only way to Draw the Moon Scythe card for Gallery completion and awards the Circle of Power Achievement.
Goblins
Goblins can be encountered randomly when visiting a Dungeon at night. They offer to infect you with 2 Rot (Soup), give you the Raven’s Beak Dagger Treasure (Beak), or can grant you Permanent Scout effect at the cost of 1 point of your Body (Eye). This is the only way to draw the Raven's Beak Dagger for Gallery completion and awards the Dungeon Deals Achievement.
The Apothecary
The Apothecary can be encountered randomly when visiting a Settlement during the day with exactly 1 health remaining. He offers a Health Refill, a Permanent boost of +1 Body, or to give you his card to recruit as a follower. This is the only way to Draw the Apothecary card for Gallery completion and it grants An Apple a Day Achievement.
The Whiteshadow
The Whiteshadow is a Spectral Horse, encountered randomly in a Forest during the day when you have at least 1 Rot. It offers you a Health Refill, a Spirit Stone, or the top card of the Treasure deck at the "cost" of infecting you with another Rot point. This awards the Dark Temptation Achievement.

I’ve seen two other random encounters: one that triggers on a plain at night if you have the Stranger as one of your followers (It’s called “Cathartic Bonding”) and one that triggers on a swamp during the day if you are poisoned (it’s called “A Toxic Relationship”).

What about the plains quest encounter? The one that gives a teleport card if you ask where the king came from, or the only one that has a choice to do nothing.
