Use all weapon skins without purchasing them
By Eldin and 1 collaborators
You can play with any skin you want without purchasing it
Works in multiplayer and does not require any console cheat commands
It's client side (means only you can see them) and you can't get banned or anything because it's just replacing weapon texture

For Neon, Neon RGB, Precious and Vault Vosh Precious skins follow this guide

Things you'll need
Killing Floor 2 (obviously)
Killing Floor 2 SDK (Library→Tools→Killing Floor 2 - SDK)
UE Viewer (UModel)[github.com]
TGA viewer[tgaviewer.com] (optional, but very useful)
Let's go
Extract UModel from .zip file and run umodel.exe

Path to .upk files is usually
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\killingfloor2\KFGame\BrewedPC\Packages\Weapons\Skins
Select only Textures and click Ok

Select all and Export them

Exported files will be located in UmodelExport folder inside of UModel-master

Now open Killing Floor 2 SDK
In Content Browser, right click on Weapons and then Fully Load

I will use my favorite weapon, KRISS Vector and use Horzine Elite Blue skin for this guide
Inside KRISS folder are 2 .upk files we need.
WEP_1P_KRISS._TEX (this is skin you'll see in first person)
WEP_3P_KRISS._TEX (you will see this skin when weapon is on the ground or in other's player hands)

Open 1P, double click on Wep_1stp_KRISS_D, select Reimport and choose _1P.tga skin

You will notice some files ending with _D, _M, _N, _S
Use same .tga file for both _D and _S
Some skins like this BlackGolden Crovel also have _M file

If skin you want have _M file then reimport it. If it doesn't have _M file, like in Vector's case, then don't touch it.
You won't have to touch _N file

Some weapons have scopes. And Vector's scope is in the same file as weapon itself, so you'll just replace it there

At the end it should look like this

Now do the same for 3P

If weapon has scope but you can't find it in same file as weapon, then it's located in Optics file

When you are finished, exit SDK and click on Save Selected

Files will be saved in Documents\My Games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\Unpublished
To apply them into the game, just rename Unpublished folder to Published

Done, now open the game and enjoy your skins

(Optional) Replace skins with skins
So you want cool looking skin you don't own, but still want others to see your a little bit less cool skin that you do own instead of default weapon?

In this part of guide I will replace AR15 | Vault | Vosh | Precious with AR15 | Containment | Mint

Same procedure as before. Open SDK, navigate to Skins folder (inside Weapons folder) and choose skin you own.
Golden AR-15 is located in WEP_SkinSet_VaultVosh02_TEX

For golden skins, replace ONLY 1P_D and 3P_D. DO NOT TOUCH _M
For other skins you do same as in first part of guide

In WEP_SkinSet_VaultVosh02_item_TEX you'll find skin icon.

If you replace it with AR15 | Containment icon, then you'll see it in your inventory in game

When replacing skins with another skins you might get different results.
If you replace golden skin with another skin you might get shiny skin like this

or something like this

If you replace regular skins then everything should look normal
This is for example Centerfire | Headshot Weekly replaced with Bluefire

When I equip it other people will see Headshot skin and I'll see Bluefire skin
Done
Now you can have your favorite skin for every weapon without having to pay fortune to get them

If you're lazy and don't want to do all this here's .zip file of my favorite skins
Google Drive Link[drive.google.com]
A**holes keep removing MEGA links so I had to put space between mega and .nz
https://mega .nz/#!LMtFjZTA!I03B-_iLEWZJ3A1xTEJuXXVtZAuW1CdWUng4XvKPcJE
You can just extract it in Weapons folder and skins should be in game when you launch it. Then you can delete ones you don't want

And remember, if you like KF2 and TripWire then buy some keys and skins from ingame market
It will help them to support this awesome game with cool new content for a long time

Since recent update I have not been able to change the weapon skins in the game.ini using Notepad/C++ The RGB style skins I use are not working no matter the combination ID number.
Also the Husk Launcher & the M99 is not working on any skins either. Originally I been using the Med Pistol SkinItemID=6473 (which I own) and works on all other skins but the new 4 weapons, Husk Launcher and M99. No combination of numbers are working for me.

oh hey dude your thread got popular again, a major issue i noticed with doing this is, you will often, if not always dc the game, granted, idk if this was a skin issue, but i can tell you that as soon as i cleared off the skins, the game stopped dcing, im not sure why it happens, it just says something something error

If you download that file you'll have skins that were my favorite when I made this guide. If you want to use other skins then you'll have to follow this guide.

For neon skins, see my other guide

You have download links at the bottom of guide

oof. The multiplayer part got me.
Thank you for the guide however, it might come in handy later in the future. Cheers.

You can do that only by replacing or modifying MIC files.
I made guide for that too
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1549806650

But the only problem is that while you're using custom MIC files, you can't play multiplayer.

Thanks for this guide. I was able to replace my default deagles with the recent kf1 golden tiger skin deagle mod. I just need to figure out how to give skins that sheen that precious/vault weapons have, any ideas?
