Mosslight Cathedral (Part 1)

Description
This represents my largest [finished] build by far. I spent more than 100 hours on this beast and it weighs in at just over 48,000 blocks. That's the whole thing not just this one part lol.

Full disclaimer: The interiors of the towers are not completed (no stairs, ladders etc. cuz I just couldn't do any more. the last few sessions of tiny detail work was tedious and I just want to move on to another project after excusively working on this for many weeks. If anyone builds this and decorates/adds stairs and such to the towers feel free to add a screenshot link in the comments, i'd love to see it :)

I've always enjoyed building cathedrals in that other block building game ;) , but I wanted the challenge of building something of that scale in Creativerse, especially beacause I love the stone textures a lot. Now, since I built this in a fantasy region of Feisty's world I decided I couldn't just have the traditional interior. I went with very low lighting in the form of arctek torches cuz the soft light went so well with the magical naturey feel of the place. I also used Ecco's fabulous tree BP then altered it a bunch cuz I don't like just taking someone else's hard work and popping it, as is, into one of my BPs, but I hate building trees from scratch, so thanks for the awesome build, bubba :) https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1090495110

The other pieces should be fairly obvious how they fit together with a bit of fiddling, and I THINK I eliminated any overlap, but I can't be positive, not that it matters really. If anyone has any trouble with it or any other questions feel free to lemme know in the comments and I'll see if I can help ya out :)

If anyone is wondering why Part 3 and Part 4 are seperate instead of just using the same one for both sides, it's because of the interior being ever so slightly different with the plants in the water channels along the aisles. Just a minor detail difference, but there it is. Oh, and part 3 is the right side, 4 is the left, when viewing the cathedral from the front

Anyway, the story...

Long ago when the world was in constant conflict, the earth scorched by machines of war, and stripped of precious resources, the world tree Yggdrasil began to wither and die. A group of monks, desperate to save our land from utter destruction, took a seed from the dying tree with a promise that they would make things right one day. They took this seed to a far off region where the war had not yet stretched its shadow. In a remote forest, guided by the magics of the first creator races, they built a grand cathedral to house and protect what would one day be a new world tree. The massive structure was infused with the essence of nature and warded by hudreds of protective spells. None would breach this most holy place so that the tree could grow and perhaps, one day, heal our broken world...

I would like to give a MAJOR shoutout to Feisty who invited me to be part of her world and give this tired old builder a new home. I look forward to building more things here. Cheers, my friend :)

Absolutely amazing build. Thank you very much for this.
Easy to line up each part and thanks for the tip for part 3. Made it even easier.

Hey, thank you for the kind words! Good idea with the water. I forgot mineral water doesn't freeze easily

What a huge, well proportioned cathedral with an ingenious handling of the different blocks and a surprising religious nucleus inside! Gorgeous!!! Unfortunately I put it with the choir on arctic ground, so I had to exchange the frozen bog water with mineral water.

Its really very easy to lay the cornerstones and get them to match up. Just look at the way the pews are facing and count the blocks. Took me awhile but I finally got them all matched up and ready to build. Thanks for the awesome blueprints

Ah, no worries, man. Didn't mean to be all defensive lol. The best thing to do with multi-part BPs is to lay out all the cornerstones first before building anything, then you can easily line them up in preview mode based on the screenshots. It sounds like you already started though. Next time I get on CV I'll see if I can come up with a good way of explaining it if the screenshots aren't helping. Or you could also come visit the build in person if you think that would help. The world is Meraki, world owner is Valkyrie.
