[IMG] Trade Lane

Description
Ever make a base 50 km out of orbit and wish it didn't take forever to fly back and forth? Ever jump into a teleporter and end up jetpacking 15 km back to where you were SUPPOSED to end up? Or have you ever jumped onto empyrion and said "Damn I wish Freelancer never died?". Well we got you covered!

The Trade Lane is a gravitation transportation device that accelerates players through space without the need for vehicles. There is no hard coded maximum speed, just stackable acceleration and a silent prayer that your computer can handle as much as you think it can.

[How it works]

Each trade lane consists of two rings. These rings house 8 gravity generators each, each set facing in opposite directions. The generators are triggered via motion sensors so if nobody is inside a ring or directly in front of one, the generators are off preventing interference with nearby bases and/or capital vessels. Each face of the rings is color coded. Green means the ring will accelerate you forward while red means it will accelerate you backwards. Therefore, by passing through multiple rings on the green face, you will be accelerated faster and faster by a set amount for each ring. However, passing through a ring on the red face will decelerate you by the set amount.

[Operation]

In order to produce a clean transportation experience, please align an even number of Trade Lanes with the second half facing the opposite way from the first half. This will allow for equal acceleration and decceleration in both directions.

[Disclaimer]

The trade lanes are not a perfect method of travel. Users will experience varying results based on the capabilites of their computer and strength of their internet connection. Use in third person mode for best results.

***Made on PvE Palace***

[Example]

This blueprint is one of several that went into recreating the New York System from Freelancer. A copy of the system along with all of the planets within it is available on my drive at:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=13NjGlza_iq87MWEBhVzDLIAaBs79eomK

All stations, battleships, and minable asteroids have been removed from the orbit leaving only the Trade Lanes.

This system is loadable thanks to the DSL feature that was added to Empyrion. The core usage exceeds the base game 200 limit. Instructions on how to edit this will be provided in the file.

**Not for the weak hearted of laptops**

You're welcome. Unfortunately the maximum build radius is too small to make a larger structure from these, but I encourage anyone with yaml experience to play around with placing these in a space playfield. I prefer to use the Fixed position entree:

Pos: [a, b, c]
Rot: [0, 90, 0]

For the first half and the following:

Pos: [a, b, (c -1)]
Rot: [0, 270, 0]

for the second half. This will spawn in east and westbound trade lanes. Edit variable a to space them out (I prefer to use a distance of 1 km)

For North and Southbound Tradelanes, use the following:

Pos: [a, b, c]
Rot: [0, 0, 0]

Pos: [a-1, b, c]
Rot: [0, 180, 0]

change variable c to space out the Trade Lanes.
