Pefect Chest Organization (1.4.0.5)
There is an updated version of this guide here:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2126874312
Spawn
1. Bed Placement
First of all focus on the bed placement, this exact bed placement over a teleporter causes the player's spawn point to be directly ontop of the teleporter, if they are to set spawn on that bed.
What does this mean? Well this means the player will be perfectly alligned ontop of the teleporter when they teleport back to spawn with either a magic mirror variant or a recall potion. This is important for the function of the chest organization system.

2. Piggy Bank, Safe, Defender's Forge
Personalized Inventory Storage are all around the spawn point, so the player can easily access their important stored items.
(In case you do not know, YOUR Piggy Bank Inventory is completely different to another player's Piggy Bank Inventory. This is the same for the "Safe" and the "Defender's Forge")

3. Teleporter Buttons
This teleporter is hooked up to 8 different teleporters including itself.

4. This Classifies as NPC housing
This feature is not entirely necessary, but can be extremely useful in certain situations.
Bed acts like a Chair, Workbench acts like a Table, Palm Wood Lamp acts as a Light Source.

5. Compact Design
Compact design saves resources, you should use whatever materials you have access to.
Crafting Stations
1. Demon Altar/Crimson Altar
If you look closely you will see a Demon Altar, finding one of these in your world is very important, luckily for you there is a mechanic in this game that causes them to consistantly spawn very close to your original spawn. They are usually located at this position shown here:

The Demon Altar itself is at Depth: 8' Surface
(Usually Right of initial Spawn is closer)
(But many spawn at this depth of the world, so you will definitely find many to the Left if you choose to mine that way)

I recomend mining at Depth: Level Surface
That way you will mine a 3 tile walkable space underneath the Demon Altar or Crimson Altar.

2. Crafting Stations in Original Picture
Here is a list of the Crafting Stations:
Extractinator
Campfire
Dye Vat
Imbuing Station
Bookcase
Autohammer
Table
Chair
Workbench
Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil
Sawmill
Demon Altar
Loom
Ancient Manipulator
Keg
Cooking Pot
Crystal Ball
Tinkerer's Workshop
Alchemy Table

Relatively Useless Crafting Stations:
Heavy Workbench (Can Make Boulders)
Blend-O-Matic (Can Make Ashphalt)
Meat Grinder
Bone Welder
Glass Kiln
Honey Dispenser
Ice Machine
Living Loom
Sky Mill
Solidifier
Steampunk Boiler
Flesh Cloning Vat
Lihzahrd Furnace

Water + Crystal Ball
Lava + Crystal Ball
Honey + Crystal Ball

3. Additional Objects in Original Picture
List of Other Objects and notable features:
Peace Candle (Lowers Spawn Rate of mobs for players in it's radius)
Sharpening Station (Right Click For Buff)
Bewitching Table (Right Click For Buff)
Ammo Box (Right Click For Buff)
Crystal Ball (Right Click For Buff)

Campfire (Constant Regen Buff)
Honey (Stand in for Buff)

Enchanted Sundial (Lets you skip an ingame day once every ingame week)

4. Additional Objects not in Original Picture
Heart Lantern (Increases Regen Rate)
Sunflower (Lowers Spawn Rate, Increases Movement Speed)
Various Banners
NPC Housing

1. This is Underground
Underground Layer in the world is the safest spot to keep your NPCs.

2. 21 NPC Houses
This is the optimal Number, as you can see every single House has an NPC in it, and there is one spare space for Santa during holidays.

3. Missing NPCs
Truffle + Nurse,
a. Nurse is better suited in an arena, where you can abuse her heal mechanic.
b. Truffle can only be kept on surface.
(You can easily access them by setting up a teleport to them in the teleporter section)

4. Piggy Bank, Safe, Defender's Forge
These are easily Accessible.

5. Biome Influence
The NPCs are being influenced by both the Jungle Biome, and the Mushroom Biome.
Requires 80 Tiles of Jungle to classify as a jungle, Lihzahrd Tiles Classify as Jungle Tiles. Covering them up with wood prevents Jungle NPCs from spawning.
I used 79 Mushroom Grass Tiles, (mushrooms that grow on that grass influence whether or not there is a mushroom biome.)

6. Easy NPC access
All NPCs can be talked to with ease, if your world has some gay ass ♥♥♥♥ where you have NPCs 50 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kilometres away from eachother, I garuntee you that I will find out where you live and murder you, for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake stop this pretty housing crap, it is stupid as ♥♥♥♥ and is a complete inconveniance for me.

7. Chests
The 7 Water Chests are right next to the Angler NPC, these are for storing 5 of each fishing quest fish. The 1 Gold Chest is for storing stacks of 999 Platinum, because the Piggy Bank is just incapable of holding that much money, also there is room for expansion.

8. Peace Candle + Sunflower + Jungle
Jungle Increases Spawn rate of mobs.
Peace Candle Lowers Spawn rate of mobs.
Sunflower Lowers Spawn rate of mobs + increases movement speed.
You do not want a high spawn rate around your housing so you place down Sunflower + Peace Candle.
Teleporter Hub

1. Teleporter Hub
Setup your teleporters in such a way where you can easily access the important sections of your world. There is many different optimized methods for Teleporter Hub Organization.

I prefer to set them up this way:

2. Colour Coding
I use specific walls to make it blatantly obvious where each teleporter leads to.

3. Signs
I use signs that state the exact location where the teleporter teleports to incase the Colour Coding fails me. (Depth + Position + Biome)

4. Ease of Access
Easy to access each teleporter.

5. Shortcomings:
This teleporter hub is by no means perfect, or even close to perfect, then again nothing is perfect, not even my Chest Organization.
"So why is this guide called Perfect Chest Organization?"
Because this guide was specifically designed to exploit you.
Teleporter System
You have been confronted with a similar image multiple times throughout reading this guide:

1. Questions you might be asking:
"Why does this have 8 buttons?"
"Do all 8 Buttons lead to a seperate teleporter?"
"How does this work?"

All 8 buttons lead to a seperate specific teleporter:
Red Button = Chests 1
Blue Button = Chests 2
Yellow Button = Unchests 1
Purple Button = Unchests 2
Green Button = Spawn
Pink Button = Crafting Stations
Cyan Button = NPCs
Black Button = Teleporter Hub

Here is how the teleporter works:

2. Teleporter Mechanics
There is 8 Main Wire Lines, 2x Red, 2x Blue, 2x Green, 2x Yellow.
The 8 Main Wire Lines are organized into 2 lines of 1 red, 1 blue, 1 green, 1 yellow wire that connect to the two corners of each teleporter.

Every time you activate a switch/lever/button that will activate both the closest teleporter, and the furthest teleporter. The main thing to note is that the furthest teleporter is measured by wire size, NOT BY DISTANCE.

You can connect all 8 teleporters with only 8 lines of wire if you copy what I did in the image above.
(This can be done with 9 Teleporters and 8 Lines of wire.)

If you copy this test teleporter system, you might notice a problem, and that problem is this:
the teleport is instant, however the camera will also pan to the next location, this DOES NOT instantly allign your mouse ontop of the switch at the next teleporter location. We want an instant teleport and an instant screen allignment, this can be done by moving the teleporters further away from eachother.

The actual distance the teleporter needs to be away from it's counterpart teleporter depends on your screen resolution. Terraria currently does not surpass 1920x1080 resolution even if your screen is larger.
In windowed mode this means we need our teleporter 74 tiles away from the next teleporter if placed vertically, or if you play in fullscreen mode then 75 tiles away from the next teleporter vertically. Just make the teleporters 80 tiles away to be safe.

We will be placing these teleporters Vertically.
(Not Horizontally shown in the image above)

After connecting all teleporters to 1 Teleporter (Teleporter A) with an extended wire, you remove the same wire covering the button for "Teleporter A".
Since this has an extended RED wire connecting to this teleporter, we remove that same red wire from the button. Otherwise that button will teleport to an unfavourable location, disabling it is better to make the organization system easier to learn with muscle memory.

If you require more information on how to build the 8-Way Teleporter; then follow this link here:

Chest Organization Mechanics
1. Quick Stack To Nearby Chests Function
If you didn't know, there is a "Quick stack to nearby chests" function in this game that allows you to... Quick stack items in your inventory to nearby chests. There is a limit to how far this function can place items into chests from the player. The limit is this:
Assuming you are alligned onto 3 tiles.

(NOT 2, THE LIMIT IS DIFFERENT IF YOU ARE STANDING ON 2 TILES.)

Which is why allignment is important for this chest system to work properly.

The limit for the amount of chests that can be fit into this space is 81 through legitimate means.

(It is possible to fit an additional chest if you find a glitched floating chest spawn, however this is extremely unreliable and irrelevant for this guide).

We will be removing 2 chests from the possible limit so we have space for the 8 teleporter buttons.

2. Allignment
At the start of this guide I mentioned bed placement, and how setting spawn, then teleporting back to the bed will allign you onto a teleporter. This mechanic needs to be kept in mind, when you are teleporting from point A to point B.
Chest Organization
1. Stackables Chest Structure
(The individual chest names are under the image)

Row 1:

Row 2:

Row 3:

Row 4:

Row 5:

Row 6:

Row 7:

Row 8:

You will notice that there is not enough space in this chest system to hold every single furniture item in the game, and that is because an even better storage system exists for storing furniture. It's simple, while the furniture is in your inventory, hold down SHIFT and then CLICK. AND BOOM MAGIC IT'S GONE. I don't need that much furniture, YOU don't need that much furniture, don't punish yourself with silly vanities.

2. Unstackables Chest Structure
(The individual chest names are under the image)

Row 1: Fishing Stuff, Bows + Crossbows, Magic Staves

Row 2: Bug Nets, Handguns, Magic Books, Yoyos, Boomerangs

Row 3: Pickaxes, Drills, Hammers, Hamaxes, Axes, Chainsaws, Other Tools, Large Guns, Magic Guns, Other Melee, Flails, Harpoons

Row 4: HP Regen, Defense Accessories, Knockback Immunity, Debuff Immunity, Summoners, Launchers, Magic Stationary, Summons, Swords, Projectile Swords

Row 5: Magic Mirrors, Other Accessories, Hooks, Jump Enhancers, Building Accessories, Paints + Wiring Tool, Building Wands, Other Ranged, Other Magic, Sentries, Spears, Projectile Spears

Row 6: Informational, Light Pets, Mounts, Wings, Hermes Boots, Hybrid Armour, Throwing Armour, Ranged Armour, Magic Armour, Summoning Armour, Melee Armour, Defense Armour

Row 7: Pets, Minecarts, Swimming, Mobility, Hybrid Damage, Ranged Damage, Magic Damage, Mana, Summoning Damage, Melee Damage

Row 8: Vanity 1, Vanity 2, Vanity 3, Vanity 4, Vanity 5, Vanity 6, Vanity 7

3. Optimized Flow
This structure will allow me to easily flow through every single one of your chests when I raid your world, so be sure to build this exactly how I built it.
Permenant Solution to Overflowing Chests
1. Problems:
These two structures will inevitably fill up:

If they fill up, simply make a duplicate chest structure right next to the original and then reconnect the teleport wires to the new version, transporting 1 of each item to each chest so the quick stack function still works.

However doing that immediately will lead to an inevitable problem, that problem is that: 1 chest has filled up, however the other 78 have not, in order to fill those other chests up you need to fly back and forth.

2. Solution in Plain Sight
Instead of making only 1x Stackable Chest Structure, and 1x Unstackable Chest Structure in your Teleportation System, you make 2x Stackable Chest Structures and 2x Unstackable Chest Structures.

When your 1st Stackable Chest Structure fills up a single Chest, then you move 1 of each items to your 2nd Stackable Chest Structure.
Then every time you use a Magic Mirror variant:
1. teleport to your 1st Stackable Chest Structure,
2. quickstack,
3. teleport to your 2nd Stackable Chest Structure,
4. quickstack.

Do this until your 1st Stackable Chest Structure is adequately filled, then start building a 3rd Stackable Chest Structure right next to your 1st one. Then simply rewire the wiring nearby to connect to the 3rd instead of the 1st.

This same theory applies to the Unstackable Chest Structures.
How To Build This
1. This needs to be done on a Large World.

2. Find a Demon Altar/Crimson Altar, with the method mentioned in Crafting Stations Section of this guide.

3. Construct your Crafting Station System:

4. Climb 80 Tiles up from your Crafting Station System.

5. When you place the 80th Tile, remove that tile then place 3 platforms at the same level as the tile you removed, then place a teleporter ontop of that.

6. Repeat until you have this structure here:
1st Stackable Chest Structure Teleport
80 Tiles
2nd Stackable Chest Structure Teleport
80 Tiles
1st Unstackable Chest Structure Teleport
80 Tiles
2nd Unstackable Chest Structure Teleport
80 Tiles
Bed Spawn Point Teleport
80 Tiles
Crafting Stations Teleport
80 Tiles
NPC Housing Teleport
80 Tiles
Teleporter Hub Teleport

7. Build the Teleporter System;
The extended wire needs to be atleast 492 wire long to force teleport to the correct teleporter, just lay out 5 long lines and 2 half lines like shown below with the green wire:

8. Flesh out every other section, by referring to the relevant section of the guide.
Final Product

You now have a chest organization system that is immensely easy to rob. I will be visiting your singleplayer world soon with my leet haxor skills.
