Description
'Seize the moment, mayflies. You have so few left.' -Kerillian

A challenge mod in which your remaining time on earth is reduced to 90 seconds at the start of a mission. Luckily, you can prolong your own existence by shortening the lives of the pact-sworn. Tougher enemies yield more time.

Options:
Mod enabled/disabled (only works outside mission).
Difficulty: preset kill time multipliers (easy, normal, hard). Specific value can be set with /ft_time_multiplier.
Diminishing returns: dynamic time-per-kill multiplier, dependent on current timer value. More time on timer = less time per kill.
Skittergate extra time: extra 30 seconds on the timer for Skittergate.

IMPORTANT NOTE: during multiplayer settings have to be same for all players or wacky stuff, like crashing caused by unsynced timers might happen.

I think that could be done, but I'd rather not add any enemies as this mod is really about the timer on top of the base game. The challenge is pretty good right now, sometimes you might get unlucky with spawn rates but that's just how the game is.

Maybe theres a way to edit the number of spawns just at the beginning?

Maybe a few pre-scripted spawns at the beginning?

I thought about adding extra time for Skittergate, but I have finished runs with time to spare on it. However, the beginning is by far the hardest of the levels unless you happen to get a convenient horde or boss, so I added an option (in the mod options) to start Skittergate with 30 extra seconds.

There are multiple waiting points in the map, including at the gatekeeper and the underground lift.

The timer is shared between all players, and everyone dies once it runs out.

Low enemy activity can definitely be a run killer, but I've only really had trouble in the beginning of Skittergate with waiting for the portal to activate, and during the final run to the end. I'm updating the mod to make Rasknitt drop more seconds to make that part more tolerable. Otherwise, I'm averse to adding more time at the start or making enemies worth more seconds in fear of making things too easy. It's a challenge, failing every now and then should be expected.

Very cool idea, if you limit the time so you have to kill things then 1 guy can't just skip the level with handmaiden shenanigans.

Can't wait to never see this whitelisted, the modders are the only ones who care about the game, fatshart couldn't give a fuck
