Maybe theres a way to edit the number of spawns just at the beginning?
Maybe a few pre-scripted spawns at the beginning?
There are multiple waiting points in the map, including at the gatekeeper and the underground lift.
Low enemy activity can definitely be a run killer, but I've only really had trouble in the beginning of Skittergate with waiting for the portal to activate, and during the final run to the end. I'm updating the mod to make Rasknitt drop more seconds to make that part more tolerable. Otherwise, I'm averse to adding more time at the start or making enemies worth more seconds in fear of making things too easy. It's a challenge, failing every now and then should be expected.
