I found out how you can play Nioh without getting the "ActionMovieWindow" error that crashes your game right after the Koei Tecmo Intro.

Steps:

• Go into the NVIDIA Control Panel --> Manage 3D Settings --> Program Settings --> Add --> Browse... --> Select "Nioh.exe" from the game directory, it may also just show up in the first or second list (but it rarely does).
  
  
• Go to Antialiasing - Mode --> Put it to "Off".
  That's It!

If it still doesn't work for you:

• Set the resolution bigger or smaller than your monitor's resolution (If you have a 1920x1080 monitor, set it to 1280x720 for example).

If you're an AMD user and are experiencing this issue, you can try disabling antialiasing from the proprietary control panel that should come with your GPU drivers.
