The RX-78-2 Gundam[gundam.wikia.com] is the titular mobile suit of Mobile Suit Gundam. The unit was primarily piloted by the series' main protagonist Amuro Ray.

Even if you don't particularly like the Gundam series, I think there is something pleasing about the OG Gundam to most mecha fans. I personally love the simple yet elegant design.
