Wicker Man recreation

Wicker Man, the newest secret weapon of Alton Towers. It’s not just a wooden GCI coaster.
It’s an immersive experience with incredible theming.

I started working on this when the 1st concept picture was release. My plan was to finish it before opening but that didn’t work out. So I did my best to recreate it based on actual videos and pictures I could find. This is my first recreation of a coaster I have not been on. The large theming structure is rather different as it was almost impossible to recreate 100%. I decided to make my own variation of it. I think it came out great.

Because of the pathing limitations in the game, the exit path is not exactly as in real life. The station entrance is not on the side of the platform but on the back. I had to run the exit path through the switchtrack building and because of the had less room to place the switch tracks itself.

I also try to use the in-game flags for the buntings in the queue, but they looked to playful so I let them out.

The whole project consists of more than 52k in-game objects. I made custom supports include the extra concrete foundation blocks. Some realistic backstage parts, electrical cabinets and even the wooden planks between the rails. I did not do the whole surrounding area, because I think this coaster by itself looks much better.
