The Back Door IV

Description
The Great Wall of Text
It was sitting fragmented in four different folders for a while now, and I thought, "might as well."

An experimental faction with many fun little features.
Ridiculously fast upgrade and progression; the faction is more for the user's entertainment than an actual challenge.
Slightly OP, but not Quincy OP. OP is like a spice; a little can do some magic but too much and your mouth is on fire.
Large variety of parts and modular crap; nearly everything I could get my hands on.
I made it with SGO 4 Shaders, so anything else may have it look like poo.

Lore
because people seem to like reading it so much.
A fragment of the meteor carrying the basis of life was sent frozen into the endless abyss. There it stayed lonely and very cold. If it was sentient, it'd ask the universe for a sweater. The meteor drifted into an old any dying solar system, the local star nearing its end, and crashed onto a dark moon of a small gas giant. Below the searing igneous surface of the moon, the escaping gaseous compounds of the nearby gas giant permeated and condensed into a thick nutrient broth, of which life would eventually thrive. Due to the heat and birthplace of the Nidus, the moon was referred to as the Crucible.

Within the broth of primordial life, organisms began evolving at unprecedented rates. Predation became the norm and there was no need to be concerned with lacking resources; more compounds from the dissolving gas giant would permeate through. However, a spontaneous evolution of one organism resulted in a hivemind and the Nidus organisms.

First beginning in the primordial broth as a multicellular blob of shapelessness, these organisms became able to communicate with chemical signals. The Nidus organisms consumed all the microbes and whatnot that crossed their microscopic paths and grew in number and size. While maintaining intraspecies communications, they differentiated and evolved further. The electromagnetic radiation from the dying star served as a template for a new medium of communication as well as the source of energy. Their growth was unmatched in the Crucible.

Some time later, all other organic compounds were consumed, and the Crucible was entirely infested. Seeking expansion, the Nidus hivemind looked to the nearby gas giant for resources. Macro structures were morphed from the base Nidus strains. These structures bridged the relatively gap between the Crucible and the gsa giant. Acting as wells, they sapped the celestial body of its mass, transferring it to the Crucible. From this, the Crucible hivemind morphed more of the Nidus strains into space faring organisms, in hopes of attaining even more raw matter and spreading across the galaxy.

Ships have FLOCKING and SOCIAL tags. Usually comes in swarms.

Features
Includes but is not limited to:

2 Main Armor Types with an extensive shape palette and 4 scales each. Just look at all those shapes on that left palette. The right is for blueprint drones and plants.
-Flesh: Your average medium armor. Moderate health, regeneration, and mass. Isn't flesh-colored.
-Carapace: Heavy armor. High health and mass with slow regeneration.

3 Secondary Armor Types for that niche gameplay.
-Nerve: Fast-regenerating scaffolding used to quickly grow capital ships. Low health and mass.
-Bone: High health and regeneration with low mass. Used to protect important segments in small crafts.
-ProtoCarapace: An experiment armor that grows over a network of conduits. Is capable of regenerating under continuous fire but costs energy to regenerate new blocks. The conduit network is weak to explosives. The ProtoCarapace is to replace the function of shields, being more versatile, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing than glowing bubbles. Composed entirely out of custom shapes.

Cannons and Lasers: Includes multiple variants for capital ships, fighters, and everything inbetween.

Experimental Missiles!
-Good old firework missiles
-Cannon-recoil assist missiles
-Classic nukes
-A self replicating missile that lags the sector

Experimental Drones!
-A space sword that impales your enemies, also equipped with cannon-recoil assist
-A drone that launches missiles
-A drone that spews out tractor drones

Blueprint Drones; those drones that grow into ships when launched, essentially a free temporary fleet.
-2 Cannon drone variations
-2 Laser drone variations
-A missile drone
-A healing drone
-And one that dispenses more blueprint drones

Vegetation and an ENVIRONMENTAL blueprint drone for planting such vegetation when there are no asteroids. The plants also have guns and missiles. We all love laggier spikey plants. Plants spread very rapidly, be warned.

A modular cannon system. Composed entirely of custom shapes, this system allows the construction of unique superweapons to your heart's content. Mostly fool proof.
-6 caps to individually improve each of your cannon's 6 stats.
-A branched linear conduit system to accomodate the caps.
-5 mods for niche cannon builds, significant stat changes.
How it works:
-The Cannonpiece has 2 ports for Injectors.
-Each Injector has 3 ports for Conduit chains.
-Each Conduit Port has 2 ports for Caps and can continue the chain onwards.
-Mods connect directly to the cannonpiece.

A modular thruster system: A wiring system similar to the modular cannons, the Catabolic Allocational Thrusters allow for the construction of highly efficient capital movement. Has enough parts to be specialize in any situation. Multiple Thrusters wired to the same Compressors do not reduce each Thruster’s output.
How it works:
-Compressors provide majority of the thruster force.
-Compressor is composed of three parts: Cap, Cylinder, and Vent.
-Vent outputs thruster force a into the Pressurized Tube network.
-Pressurized Tubes transport thruster force to the thrusters.
-Convergence Junctions combines thruster force of inputs into a single output.
-Divergence Junctions distributes thruster force to multiple outputs. It does not reduce the input’s force; splitting an input into three outputs results in 3x as much force.
-The Thrusters are just generic thrusters. They work without the CAT network but are much less efficient than with.

Some other junk
-Tractor blueprint mines
-2 PD Plating variants: One uses pepper spray on unsuspecting missiles and enemies, the other is talented in lassos and pulls on unsuspecting missiles and enemies. There also exists a bug that allows these missiles to be constructed simaltaneously on one launcher panel.
-Tesselatable Cannon and Laser. Cannon variant is displayed as the green prism in the larger ships.
-A spike launcher to murder witches.
-An experimental Scatter Laser Array for variety in the usual beams of death.

Thanks to all those Discord Bois for the rather minimal support :b

I've sort of abandoned this one as it was getting a bit messy and was more of an experiment for new concepts. Here's the new mod I've been working on with nearly the same things, but better. Actually, it's pretty much the same thing. But better.

The comand cant pick up R, and I cant afford any kind of R collector. How am I supposed to make C with this mod to start off with?

Looks like a really fun mod but.. more plant lag sounds kinda horrible.
