Annihilate The Fogmen! (Beta)

Description
*Disclaimer: The mod has not been extensively tested but for me it seems to be working. It may or may not work for you. What testing that has been done on it has been on the experimental version. I believe it should work on stable but just in case, save before using this mod.

*The Queen's Army shouldn't spawn until you talk to James and ally with him. Once you do, the Queen's Army and other similar sized armies will spawn in the Foglands. They are NUMEROUS and DANGEROUS. Do NOT ally with James The Hunter unless you are ready.

*Mongrel can possibly be overrun by The Queen's Army
----------------------------------------------------
The Fogmen are a menace to Mongrel and the Foglands in general. Many souls have been lost to these creatures but now is the time to fight back!

The Fogmen have a queen, kill the queen and the rest will slowly fall apart. Be warned though, the queen will not go down easily and she brings a force that would even give the armies of major factions a pause.

To begin the spawning of the Queen's army, talk to James The Hunter in one of the bars in Mongrel.

- Adds a new faction: The Fogmen Hunters. You will find scattered groups of them around fighting the Fogmen.
- Gives you the opportunity to get rid of the Fogmen once and for all.
- Adds Fogmen Queen (using Prince model but wearing plate jacket armor) and Fogmen Queen Guard (They wield naginatas) and Queen Proxys that lead their own army across the Foglands
POSSIBLE TODO:
- Questline involving the Fogmen after the fall of their Queen
- Special NPCs
- More dialogue for James and his group

Could you just not allow the nests to respawn once destroyed?

@PalmsAreSweaty I've thought about it tbh and I I do miss modding Kenshi. Problem is I lost all my mod files so I'd have to rebuild it from scratch. If i do return to Kenshi modding I will likely update the Fogmen mod first but no promises.

I don't know if this is still being updated, but I'd hope that perhaps if you still consider polishing this game, it would probably be best if the Fogmen Queen which will trigger the death of the Fogmen, would be placed in a static location instead of perhaps wandering around.

There are plenty of locations you could have her in a static place where the player cna simply fight his way through the wandering Proxy Queens to get to her. Perhaps have her spawned in the north, near the giant crater where the ancient science lab is located?

I really hope you keep updating this!

After collecting well over 80 Proxy queen heads, Setting up multiple 6-man turret outposts at the "traffic lanes" I've seen the large groups go through (8 in total) and combining that with three 13-man roaming hunting squads I can quite confidently say that it's not just a case of "you just missed them because the queen travels around". I think there may be more to the string of comments others have posted about not being able to find the queen. Love this mod, think it's great and hope that a solution/fix is in the future.

The problem with the way it works is that they constantly travel around. Even myself when I played it, it took a long time to find the queen. It was very grindy but at the time that's all I could do unfortunately.

I have some ideas to possibly implement in the future but no promises.

But it shouldn't be bugged unless there was a drastic overhaul to the coding of Kenshi since I last used it.

ive searched for hours trying to find the queen only to keep finding the guards and proxies. i know you don't work on it anymore but are you sure this isn't bugged? how/where is the queen supposed to spawn?
ImJustJun  [author] 17 Jun, 2019 @ 10:16am
@gorilla it depends. If the two only ADDED in new code, then yes it would be fine, but if they edited the current code at all, then this one will conflict with it.

do you think this would be compatible with hivers expanded or fogmen invasion?
SaintPraetor 12 Apr, 2019 @ 7:57pm
That makes sense. I imagine it wouldn't be entirely out of date or broken unless things dramatically changed in vanilla/mods break it. Sounds good! I will do some compatibility testing and see if it will play nicely with the rest of the mods in my collection.

I appreciate your swift response and your contribution to this community!

I unfortunately can not give a confident answer as to whether or not this mod is still working as it has been quite awhile since I last played Kenshi and done any modding for it.

It SHOULDN'T break anything as everything that is included in the mod (including variables and such) is custom made. I did not make any direct edits to any of the in-game files EXCEPT for adding in new things.
