I edited a data file (.dat) which holds all the information regarding units, technologies, etc. using a tool called Advanced Genie Editor.
If you want to use this mod within a custom scenario, you need to select it from the Data Set drop-down menu in the game setup screen, just like you would for a Random Map.
1) how have you done that mod ? (what files are modified ?)
2) is there a way to give access to genitour and condottieros to a player on a map in editor with "full techs" ?
This mod only adds the units that can normally be trained by all civs with the right ally, (like the Condottiero if you’re allied with the Italians), and the Imperial Camel because although it’s technically a unique unit, it’s also an upgrade to a unit other civs make. It doesn’t add secondary unique units like the Slinger, Longboat or Missionary. Also, the technologies that let you train your unique unit from another building, i.e. the Huskarl from the Barracks and the Tarkan from the Stable don’t allow your allies to train them from their buildings.
