INTERNAL NAME: GM_INFRA_WATERTREATMENT


This is a port of one of the maps from the game INFRA made by Loiste Interactive. This map contains a fairly large water treatment plant. Most of it is accessible, with many rooms relating to water management as well as old and new office buildings.

The original map was modified and a small part of it was removed to allow the porting (to be precise, the small tunnel areas at the beginning and at the end of the map, before and after the plant). So the map is mostly intact, and all the detail was kept.

This map port was made with Oskutin's permission, the person who originally made the map, with the support of Loiste Interactive who have graciously accepted to let their game be mounted in Garry's Mod. INFRA truly has the most beautiful maps made in Source, so if you like what you see, please visit the Steam Store page for INFRA and buy it, it's absolutely worth it!

I've adapted the map to GMod, which means the following:

- Fixed and added physical props all over the map (and that's a shipton of them!)
- Added access and detail to additional areas (notably the area between the new office building and the lab)
- Removed most scripted events relating to plant functionality (monitors and PCs)
- Removed need for keycards (they're still in the game, but you can't pick them up; it's as if you had them all from the beginning)
- Removed alarm in the old office building (the alarm code still works though!)

Features:

- HDR and LDR compatible
- Working soundscapes for a great sound atmosphere, identical to the game
- Fixed the water to be as close as possible to the original
- Physical props all over the map
- Navigation mesh included
- All the paths and interiors are AI noded
- Working cubemaps
- Fully optimized
- Many dynamic shadows for more realism (low performance? try disabling them with r_shadows 0 in console)
- Keypads, valves, toilets and much more are still operational!


Special thanks to HAVOK for making his Source compilers[forum.facepunch.com] that push well beyond normal Hammer limits, this map and many others wouldn't have been possible without them!


Report any bugs you find!

KNOWN ISSUE: some doors are too small to pass through. I've done everything I could to make the player pass through, but for a few doors, it may not be enough. Sorry about that! That's because the player's collision model is smaller in INFRA than in GMod. Kimritzwaarme has made a mod to help with that, which is much appreciated!
