Player Start Boost

Description
A simple mod that gives the player a starting envoys.

FAQ:
How many Envoy?
For now, it's 10. (Feel free to change on the Player Start Envoy Boost.lua)

Does it change my current envoy or adds up?
by game default, you get an envoy depending on what era you start it. It doesnt change your current envoy but instead adds it. (So if you start on Industrial Era, you'll have a 5 envoy already, with this mod, it'll add a +10 so you'll end up having 15 Envoys.)

Do the AI get it too?
No.

Does this mod works with any other mod?
Yes. It should be compatible with all other mods including custom civs because the lua file is not scripted to replace anything.

Save game?
Unfortunately, you have to start a new game for this to work.

So this is a cheat?
Yes, but this cheat is only one time. Meaning, after you spend it all, you have to work hard again to earn it all back. Basically, this mod is aimed to help the player in early wargames.

Why is the logo just a random pic of the word "Envoy"?
I cant find a larger image of the "Envoy/City State Diplo" logo so I decided to just google the word envoy. lol

My Other mods that works well with this one:
Player Faith Start Boost
-Boost the players starting Faith just like this one.

Player Gold Start Boost
-Boost the players starting gold just like this one.

Better Per-Era Starting Gold
Just like the Gold boost but this one, the AI gets it too resulting on more Arms race including the Civ States.

Is this still working for anyone? I cannot get this to do anything at all.

Would be nice if the envoy came gradually, I don’t know how, nor when though… But having them all at once, at the start, it’s a bit strange. But that’s nitpicking, useful mod when needed ! Thanks

Steam’s fault for those stupid folders names ! ^^
Btw, the folder where the mod is going will be named with the same number as the one which can also be found in the mod’s web address.

Since the mod author never includes the file path for editing the .lua in the mod description, here it is Steamapps > Workshop > Content > 289070 > 1354586077

@Everyone: I just test the mod. It works fine. Kindly Ignore the "Not Compatible" notification. But I'll do try to remove it later on.

seems working fine with GS - to get rid of the compatibility warning add this to line 8 of .modinfo:
<CompatibleVersions>2.0</CompatibleVersions>

Oh, my dumbass was using loaded configuration which means only my previous mod setup was being loaded. Haha, sorry. THanks for this, my guy. :D

@Allen: not sure why it's not working with you. But you see, the codes used in here is similar to the Player Gold Start boost. It works with a lot of player and my friend who got the RnF expac said this one works well with his game.

Can you tell me what mod are you using and did you start a new game? new game is required for this to work. I'll be glad to help you out. *^^*

Can anyone confirm that this is working? I don't know if it's just mine that's not working.
