Description
A joint event between Union Pacific and Burlington Northern to promote buisness and the local area itself has resulted in a charter train driven by you off the UP mainline down to Delray where you will marshal the train for unloading and stabling. The train will consist of a UP 2-8-0 Consolidation, a UP GP9 for backup and several carriages plus a baggage van. Except for one stop to let a priority train pass you should result in a fairly clear run.

A less demanding version is now available and can be found in the collection as UP Charter [Challenger]

From what I can gather the challenger add-on available now was supposed to be the updated version causing the original to be withdrawn. Unfortunately this took away the 2-8-0 and I think a nice selection of boxcars.

I wish the 2-8-0 was still in the challenger pack, I saw this mod when I first got Train Sim back in 2017 and never understood why it didn't work even with all DLC.

If it's just the GP9 that you're missing I'd suggest using TS-Tools which allows you to swap out loco's and wagons with one's you do own.

oof I just realized it has the gp9 addon too which I cant get either since it contains a BNSF livery and I live in Canada (licensing issues)

I'm not sure how long they had it as I picked the pack to get add-ons that were removed in the later versions.

this is the only actual trace of the UP 2-8-0 for train simulator. Did like 10 get sold and then they stopped?

I can't really think of anywhere else that would sell a early enough version of TS that would include the UP loco.

that sucks, i wanted to use the UP consolidation but i was never able to get the locomotive
