Fog Of War---The First Battle of Ypres, 1914

Description
UPDATE:
A new update for the map has been released, offering a new section to capture and defend. Dowload it here at: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1276685474

The First Battle of Ypres, November 5th, 1914. The III Reserve Corps have begun the shelling of Ypres, opening one of the most bloody battles in human history. Only a defensive trench prevents the German Empire from destroying the Entente artillery, and suceeding in the defense of Ypres. Multiple divisions have been deployed to defend the artillery by all mean necessary.

On this map, you will participate in either the daring raid of the artillery position, or it's valiant defense. As this is set in the First World War, only period specific weapons should be used:
1. Mosin Nangat
2. Springfield 1903
3. Karabiner 98 Kurz (Kar 98K)
4. Lewis Gun
5. Browning HP pistol
6. M1911
7. Revolver
8. Double-Barreled Shotgun
9. MP-18
10. Walther p.38
11. Bayonet
12. Knife (Melee)
13. Grenades

No major lag spikes experienced during testing. I got a consistent 60-80 fps playing this, with it only dipping down to 40 momentarily. This will be part of a larger series covering WW1. Play this map with your HUD disabled and on Realistic difficulty in order to get the full experience. Have fun!

Of course.

Fair enough. Still, looking forward to the many improvements to the latest version of Ypris.

Adding aditional textures to the games files is possible, Virgo, but would only exist client-side, so if I were to add them, only I would see them, and anyone who downloaded my map wouldn't.

Can't even put in additional textures and apply them to things eh?
Well, when the game's developed further, and more stuff is added for the editor, do keep this idea in mind and alter this map at a later time, renaming it to Returning To Ypris or something, while keeping your newest version of Ypris WWI themed.

The problem with your suggestion, Virgo, is that there are currently no assets for rusted cannons, or the ability to place grass. Other than that, that would sound amazing!

Ah, well that makes sense.
...Well, now that we have two versions, think you can make one version into a WWII version with rusted out cannons, grassed over trenches, and such? Got two versions, may as well do something different with one eh?

Looks like a neat little challenge, might give this one a go.

VirgoCompany, the second version was released before I knew how to do that. :steamsad:
