Solar Greenhouse - Self-Powered Farm

Description
This greenhouse will run on its own under most conditions but it offers an emergency generator in the event of unforseen or less-than-ideal circumstances.

For non-breathable planets there are two large O2 tanks and an airtight construction.

Four basic cannon turrets come standard, one on each corner of the building. These can easily be switched out for a higher tier if you so desire.

The solar panels output upwards of 476 kW midday on Omicron in clear weather and the base consumes 131 kW. So long as it is given clear weather every now and then the battery should hold out without the need to switch on the emergency generator.

Feedback is most appreciated. Please rate if you like it!

I like this base quite a bit. I use it for my first garden on almost every play through Great job!.

Nice build, converted to POI for The Lost City of Sol scenario, rated ! Subbed !

yeah it seems it was a accident that it made power to begin with that said it seems to go active solar / battery / small gen and only burning fuel if no battery left

Note: In the latest experimental (7.6), my experience is that the solar capacitor no longer works as small generator. I don't know if this is intentional, or a bug that will be fixed. I've had to go back and add back in a small generator to my designs where I had removed them. However, it appears the small generator does not use fuel when the batteries have charge, so although you need to add the small generator, you don't need to manually turn it on and off.

@Pekiti Thanks for the info! The capacitor does indeed function as a 5MW generator which is more than enough to cover the power draw.

@doctoxic It will switch over automatically when the battery depletes so long as there is fuel in the tanks.

As I understand it, the Capacitor functions as a 5kw generator, even if you are out of stored battery power, as long as you have fuel tanks installed. So as long as you have fuel tanks in your design, you don't actually need to install a smal generator or go to the trouble of turning it on. I have a base on Omicron where I installed a Capacitor and a full set of panels, and then deleted my existing generators (all of them). The base runs fine with fuel or solar, as long as I have one Capacitor. I really like this compact little greenhouse design though!

Does the backup generator have to be turned on manually or will it auto start when battery gets low?

@Rustimus Thanks!

I added a link in the "Dark Tower" blueprint, hopefully it will help give this a leg-up on the WS.
