Jokes aside, I mostly just want to see exactly how quick people can make their solutions to simple problems like these.
As in, I'd like to see the insanity of the fastest possible designs for this problem.

@debtmaster - I'm not sure what you're getting at...because I wasn't critiquing the 8 chain itself - nor the double bonds for that matter - just whether having a third double, let alone having 3 doubles and the 8 chain, was a bit excessive.

I'm not super great at this game, so this solution is probably very inefficient, but I got it using only one of the double-bond reagents. I'm aware this isn't what you were after, though, so sorry.

Out of curiosity, what's your thought process behind the reagents? I could get having two doubles and/or the 8-chain, but having all 4 seems excessive...especially since I can't really picture a way of it being more efficient with a third double bond since you're only making two different products (just imo though)
