The Werewolf Book

Update: With the way my time has been up until now I'm not sure when I will have the time to learn papyrus and impliment the quest and werewolf transformation. I still want to do it, but cannot give any time frame. If someone would be willing to assist me with that, you'd get full credit for your work, but otherwise it will come when it comes.
I am planning on possibly putting more stories from other sources in the future as well as a couple other book mods (because that's what this is at it's core) so stay tuned if you want to see that. And if you want to assist with the transformation and questline, contact me here on Steam :)

This is a book mod. If you do not like that, do not download it. If you want the features that are one of the many things on my long to do list, follow this mod and wait until they are implimented.
If you do not like books I do not care, go play some other mod.

I have resumed learning the Creation Kit and working on this mod again, after I get the basic cosmetic stuff done I will start working on scripting and questing to get that promised quest working, hopefully this year lol.

Adds books of Earth werewolf lore to Skyrim. All stories taken out of The Werewolf Book The Encyclopedia of Shape-Shifting Beings by Brad Steiger, all stories remain the property of the original author, as well as their original tellers. Also adds a house outside Riverwood, and will soon add a quest.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS EARTH LORE FRIENDLY, NOT SKYRIM LORE FRIENDLY.

Basically this mod adds books of werewolf lore and legend to one of the leveled books lists. It also creates its own leveled list which is added to loot containers and to merchants.

I plan on putting more stories in this mod and implimenting another way of becoming a werewolf that is described in Vol.5 Becoming a Werewolf. It will also add a second Earth-lore friendly werewolf, the magic "wolf belt" that transforms it's wearer into a large wolf.

V1.3.1 changes:
- Added fast travel marker for house
- Decreased book spawn rate, changed lists and containers that books spawn in, should actually be rare now and should not show up where books do not. (at least not as often as they used to) After playtesting enough if the books actually are rarer they may see a value increase or be tweaked a little bit more.

V1.3 changes:
- Started implimenting the quest as follows:
- Created a house (which has a player chest and a bed that the player can sleep in, along with all crafting stuff) near Riverwood, which belongs to Gilles Garnier. (I plan on doing something silly with the basement door)
- Added Gilles Garnier near the Frostbite spiders in the cave at Helgen Keep, he looks like a "dessicated corpse" he has a journal (doesn't do anything yet, but will start the quest)
- Put all volumes of the book as well as ingredients needed for the quest in Gilles Garnier's house
Next step is the quest and wolf belt, then more books!

V1.2 changes:
- Added two new volumes
- Placed more books around the world (currently in the process of placing them around the world)
- Werewolves now have a chance to drop a volume of the book
- Removed Vol. 5 from the leveled list as it will become part of a quest
- Implimented the item "fresh animal fat" as it will be part of the upcoming quest. Should have a chance to drop from all animals. It is considered an alchemy ingredient.
- Just added 5 new potion ingredients into leveled lists and apothecaries in the world, they will be essential to the quest.

V1.1 changes:
- Decresed spawn rate, I found way too many in the world
- Started adding copies to Skyrim, there is 1 copy of each volume around Whiterun (plan to add more throughout the world with each update)
- Changed the picture for the mod so there is no confusion!
