[FSF] Improved Vanometric Power Cells

Description
Discontinued

As of 1.5 this mod is discontinued, although it will likely work fine for future versions without changes. From now on I will be supporting the mod [FSF] Power Generation Multiplier. It's a very simple and highly compatible alternative.

Description

This is a simple mod that doubles Vanometric Power Cells power output changing it from 1000W to 2000W. With this your rare hard to find power cell can power a small outpost.

This mod supports the Royalty DLC. If you have it installed it will double the power of Unstable Power Cells taken from mechanoid clusters.

Unstable Power Cell 400W to 800W

This mod supports Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Power. If you have it installed it will double the power of all its Vanometric Power Cells.

Small Vanometric Power Cell 450W to 900W
Large Vanometric Power Cell 2400W to 4800W
Archotech Violence Generator 5000W to 10000W

This mod is included in [FSF] FrozenSnowFox Tweaks.

Customization

It’s very easy to modify the mod if you aren’t fond of the default power change. You will however have to redo your changes if the mod is updated. You can find the mod located under

Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\1212274603

Browse to the patches folder and open the file inside with notepad to modify it. To modify the power generation search for the section <basePowerConsumption> and change the number inside to whatever you want. Ensure you don't get rid of the minus sign when doing this.

I figured as much. Just an fyi someone asked me to add a Vanometric Cell option for the new Power Generation Multiplier mod that's replaced this. So I'll be adding that in the near future so you can tweak the multiplier on vanometric cells. That way if you really don't want to change normal power stuff you can leave that at x1 and set vanometric cells to whatever you want.

Yeah I'm gonna try it out now. I don't see why it wouldn't work

I haven't tested it but it should probably work fine. Nothing should have changed.

Better late than never, very much appreciated!

I've added a patch for Royalty Unstable Power Cells. If Royalty is active it will double their power output from 400W to 800W. Its slightly out of the original scope of the mod but I think its similar enough to count. If anyone has an issue with it being added let me know. Royalty is not required, the change was simple enough that I just did a simple patch to test if Royalty is in the mod list or not.

Sorry I didn't do this until now, I didn't realise it's been a month already.

It does not although I probably should add that.
