When you place a building, type "N", then check the tab building and tick "structural integrity" ... If you see red colour on blocks, you should reground "beneath" the building lowest block, by adding more blocks. Then the building blocks should come again to green. Hope it helps. Cheers
By mind, Horizontally, I think you can go to 13 blocks away from the supporting one. Past that, any block you will try to add will instantly break and fall.
But thats for 1 line of blocks. If you have more line blocks, you may eventually go further.
As the docking are not supporting anything (not even the landed vessels) it was ok if some blocks on the very edge, were red. If an enemy break one, it will only break that block. And each block destroyed will reduce the charge of the others.
BTW, for Water Base 1 . . . How did you manage to not have the SI explode the building? It looks like it is only balanced on center legs
Then each column inside as its exact required place. (the same for lower columns)
The best for you would be to download it, and go to creation mode to check how its built.
And no, there's no way the pads could welcome a CV :-)
they are only 12 blocks width.
