Rendal's Armor Remover

Description
WHAT DOES THE MOD DO?

This mod removes Physical Armor and Magic Armor from the game. From items, players, and enemies. Items have added HP bonuses that scale with item level and rarity. So, in practice physical HP and magic HP have been removed, and replaced with plain HP.

Intended to be used together with my Control Immunities mod:

WHY THIS MOD?

The vanilla armor system favors single damage type party compositions over mixed damage type party compositions. Also controls are mostly useless in the start of fights, and boring after the enemies lose their armor. My solution to these issues was to remove the armor bars completely, and to add an “mmo style” control immunity system. This way, damage types matter only against mitigation percentages. For controls, they are still predictable (no rng), but can’t be mindlessly spammed to lock down a boss.

UPDATES

31 Oct 2017 - Added HP bonuses to items
7 Nov 2017 - Removed HP bonuses from items (for game balance)

NOTES

I will keep this mod as is, without further changes. Any future developments of the idead, I will release as a separate mod or an addon.

Did you ever get around to re-releasing the mod that added HP to items? That sounds like such a cool idea, I'd love to see it!

The vanilla armor system actually encourages being able to do both physical and magical damage in a rather balanced way, because if you don't then a lot of fights will be much harder.

Would subscribe if there was a version that gives the enemies of the game more health to compensate for the loss in armor.. unless i misunderstand and this is part of the mod

@Revan Removed the HP bonuses from this version. Any item stat changing version will be released as a different file.

Upload version without HP please

By adding the HP bonuses to armor pieces, does that affect the NPCs as well? Otherwise it'll make the game unbalanced, since PCs will have higher HP values.
