Book of the Dead (Respawning Enemies)

Description
A more lore-friendly port of Rhidian's Respawning Enemies mod.

I ported the mod after seeing nobody else has. This is largely aimed at people who want to try out the Enhanced Edition of the previous game after playing Divinity: Original Sin II, but prefer natural difficulty (making the game easier through leveling, upgrading and preparation) over a slider, and don't want to miss out on all the extra features of the Enhanced Edition.

A new save must be started for changes to take effect.

FEATURES:

- Adds the "Book of the Dead" NPC to Homestead (near the Tapestry of Time).
- Players can spend Gold to mass respawn enemies.*
- Slain enemies will spawn a copy of themselves on the place where they died.**
- NPCs that weren't originally aggressive are also revived.***

* Gold must be in the inventory of the player talking to the book.
** Boss NPCs will spawn a regular version that isn't overwritten.
*** Quests that involve an NPC being dead or alive will not reset. The NPC is available for talking, trading and fighting, but the quest flag for said NPC being dead remains the same.

KNOWN ISSUES:

As it stands I'm still playing through the game with the mod enabled and looking for bugs as well as documenting which enemies do not respawn. In my eagerness to port the mod I haven't actually completely finished the game (I know, I know).

Any issues, let me know in the comments. The original mod wasn't perfect either, and with the second game being out I doubt enough people will want a fully functional version of this mod.

Still, if enough people want more polish I'll definitely look into it.

MINOR SPOILERS

- In the battle with the Orcs and Cultist right before entering Cyseal, the Cultist will respawn at level 9, unarmed as an Immaculate.

- In the Abandoned Farms of Cyseal, the skeletons in the houses do not respawn. Possibly due to a different script interfering.

- IMPORTANT: Talking to any animals outside of Thelyron's clinic causes the game to crash. This is a known issue found amongst multiple mods. The animals have dialogue that doesn't end properly which in turn causes the game to crash. Furthermore, Larian seems to have locked the dialogue as well as the ability to just remove the animals behind "Developer Access." Best fix I can give at the moment: DON'T TALK TO THE ANIMALS, THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING INTERESTING TO SAY ANYWAY!

As it is now, I find this game typical of most of the WRPG genres outside diablo and tes. Boring... Goofy voice acting, stock bleh rpg tropes, complicated functions just to stop progress like stun clouds. Its a rough rpg to get into. Contemplated uninstalling, but I got this as a gift and I like to try and beat games friends share with me. But I find myself struggling to get into this.. Maybe this mod will help.

Tried to ask people on the forum if there was anyway to respawn enemies, they just said nope play vanilla. I hate rpgs where the enemies stay dead like KOTOR2... Absolute trash and spits on everything an rpg is meant to be. Thankfully there's this, this might actually make this game fun. I hate being stuck somewhere with a couple of fights and no way to improve.

Do the respawned enemies scale with your level?

Nvm, found an image someone posted in page 5. Yea...This doesn't seem to be compatible with epic encounters.

I'm starting to see the issue with 'just' porting this over to OS2. Perhaps it can be put on the ship/boat, just after Fort Joy?
