Robotics + Research workshop mod

Description
I don't know what to call this exactly. Its sort of an overhaul of sorts, but not the cheating kind at least. It was made in conjunction with the newly updated "All foods and indoor farming mod" + "Indoor farming only mod", mostly on account of the needed parts, components and research needed to build the stuff from those mods (FYI, the highest level of indoor farms use AI cores as construction materials + lots of robotics stuff).

Needless to say, it wasn't created only for that. Anyone can use this mod to enhance that portion of the game, where:

- Level 1, robotics (available tech level 3): You can produce gears, tools, hinges and capacitors
- Level 2, robotics (available tech level 5): You can produce CPU units and generator cores, 4 characters can work on same bench.
- Level 3, robotics (available tech level 6): You can produce AI cores, 4 characters can work on same bench.
- Level 4, Research books (available tech level 6): You can produce Engineering and Ancient Science books, crafting tables found in TECH building tab, 4 characters can work on same bench.

You have to research these things in the crafting tech section before you can create the buildings to produce them.

The only thing that may peeve anyone is that each item requires its own production building, on account of the way production in the mod has changed, or rather the ingredient system for items has changed. For every item ingredient you add, the value of said item skyrockets, so that the AI cores became something like $500,000. Thats the reason why I did it like this instead, so that CPU cores don't become money makers or other items like it.

Link for those who want to modify it to their taste (if you want to upload a modded version of this, no need to ask, just give credit where due):

is that a way to make production faster? I'm more like a casual player and it is very time consuming for me

suggest ah harder version, change the material cost for AI cores, Engineering, and Ancient Science books, make them cost 4 ai cores &/or ah pearl from leviathans. I like to have my characters automate and craft various items for selling; this is easy cats & no ruin raiding early-mid game. Good mod nonetheless.

Sorry for the late response. No, I haven't played in a while, so no idea what recent upgrades have come into play just yet. It looks like I will be playing around Christmas break most likely (taking time off work:steamhappy:)

Just curious, has the recent upgrades effected this mod much? Did craftable AI cores ever become vanilla?

My current playthrough that just got its 3rd AI core is around day 215.

Ah, that's why (makes perfect sense).

But, wouldn't mods like mine ruin them per say? Probably just making hunger more realistic would be enough by my book. Let me know how many days it takes to get self-sufficient at the highest level.

Good luck!

I'm hoping to do an ironman (no trading), no importing to re-raid ruins, no housing in towns, no crossbows because OP, hardcore game.

So lol.

It's actually gone well so far. Did everything except the ruin importing rule. That should make things significantly harder having to conserve all of my books.

Sent the fix, should be good now.

Oh, guess it was set to less. I will fix that (guess I forgot to change it), but I am currently finishing up the remainder of the food mod to update.

Each AI core uses 1 generator core, and they are plentiful if you go tech raiding or buying from merchants. Same goes for the CPUs. My suggestion is to only build AI cores, not the CPU or generators, unless your squad isn't leveled up enough or there isn't enogh supply.

The bench only lets me put 2 people on generator cores.

Does the AI core take 1 generator core? I'd better get more benches if it takes more than that.
