If you're interested in a more modernised version with more content and features, please install the Expanded Edition instead:

This is an updated version of the original Mass Effect Species Pack by VJ (redistributed with permission). It is unchanged from the original aside from little tweaks necessary to make it compatible with Stellaris version 3.5.0 and above.

Team Nessassity is only acting as custodians of this project until such a time that VJ returns and wishes to resume its development. We will update it as necessary to keep it playable but we have no plans to drastically alter or expand its contents.

It includes :

» 40 Mass Effect flags in gold and silver versions
» Asari animated portraits and namelist
» Cerberus animated portraits and namelist
» Alliance animated portraits and namelist
» Turians animated portraits and namelist
» Quarians animated portraits and namelist
» Salarians animated portraits and namelist

  • While we have no plans to expand this mod specifically, VJ has issued an open permission to utilise Mass Effect Theme Pack assets in other mods. If Team Nessassity decides to do so, it will most likely take the form of separate projects under the "Mass Effect Civilisation" brand.
  • We are only maintaining the standalone Mass Effect Species Pack. Updated versions of the full Mass Effect Theme Pack and UI Blue Theme are currently maintained by Crusader Vanguard. The old standalone Mass Effect Music Pack is still useable as is despite a few minor errors.
  • Please note that the updated Mass Effect Theme Pack already incorporates this module. Make sure to disable it if you are going to use the full Theme Pack.

The portraits have stopped working, due to the changes to how species portraits are organized. Sadly I didn't manage to fix that by fiddling around a bit (like I managed to to with another graphical mod, by copying the code another already updated portrait mod used). Probably because this one has multiple portrait types. Flags and name lists are still accessible, however.

@Dukkokun: Please feel totally free to include the whole mod or any files you're interested in, no need to dependencies. This pack IS meant more to be used a collection of modders resources than a complete mod in its own right, so if you want to use anything from it, please go ahead <3

Hi! Are you ok if I include your mod as a requirement/dependency in a large portrait patch (still requiring users of the patch to subscribe to your mod) but modifying some files to include the portraits in the default Paradox categories?
