Every space survival colony game there is this little pod that drops and the colonist come out, I thought with the escape pod start of this game I'd play around with that concept and make a cheap inexpensive version that could get people around while looking like a drop pod.

The Drop pod is 1 of 2 varients of this ship (right in photo) it was made to require no cobalt and has a 3x3 hatch on the roof to allow it to fly up and mine the colbalt needed for SV jump drives. - and as a side note since the parts are identical you can take this one apart toss it in the factory once you get colbalt and then just make the jump version.

It also works great as a short range orbital hopper ship or just a inexpensive shuttle or escape pod.

Lots of cargo space good power reserves and 2 fridges make it pretty solid for working out of and short trips as well as a armor rack for swapping gear.
