Hwy direct Rail loop by aortali

I borrowed the highway interchange from Arisandi, changed the exits slightly, and added the loop at one side. Here is the original asset:

This is intended to have an airport with direct access to a highway, or as described in my 4 track train assets, plop this and put train stations around the loop: local freight, regional freight, local passengers, and regional passengers.

You may ask, Why 4 tracks? I was trying to tame train traffic. I set up 4 loops around my city, I use them as follows from inside loop to outside loop: 1- freight tracks with regional access for import/export 2- passenger tracks with regional access for arriving new residents and tourists 3- freight tracks only for local freight 4- passenger tracks for commuters. You need to be careful to never cross the tracks except at the regional access points and keep the local tracks completely disconnected from the regional tracks.

I run them around the perimeter of my entire city and put train stations near industry and commercial areas to limit truck traffic. I usually put a one way street loop (I made an asset with this form in the workshop) with a local station on one side and a regional station on the opposite side, and if you directly connect this unit to on/off ramps to your highways it allows easy high volume access.

I've had good luck so far keeping trains moving. A bonus of the Traffic Manager President Edition mod, you can clear all traffic globally if you want to try to change your infrastructure and clogs won't go away enough to get things moving again. Then you can see where new bottlenecks pop up.
