A Better Campaign is an optional plugin for the "A Better ADVENT: War of the Chosen" mod.
The plugin adds changes to the mission and pod composition that go further than what is done by the main mod.
This PLUS version of the plugin also increases the enemy pod sizes by 1-2 enemies, to be used with mod setups where you raise your own squad size as well.

Right now, all it does in addition to the pod size increase is putting additional ABA variant units into special pods that are encountered on Golden Path missions.
I plan on extending this mod considerably later, including interactions with Dark Events and Sitreps.

NOTICE: ABC will not work without the main mod and it will not work with any old versions of ABA either.

List of changes:

Deactivates the Surgical and Fireteam Sitreps. (Fireteam is not in vanilla, but if you add it with a mod that restores cut content, it should get deactivated with ABC+ in the mix anyways)

Increase all pod sizes by 1-2.
General rule of thumb for podsize in vanilla and podsize in ABC+:
vanilla podsize 1 --> ABC+ podsize 1
vanilla podsize 2 --> ABC+ podsize 3
vanilla podsize 3 --> ABC+ podsize 5
vanilla podsize 4 --> ABC+ podsize 6

Lost pods are NOT affected by this change. This is intentional.

Gatecrasher:
Added a couple of modded enemies to Operation Gatecrasher:
The Trooper pod will now have a Gunslinger and a Medical Drone.
The pod with the Captain will now have a Heavy Trooper.

Blacksite:
The MEC+Trooper pod inside the Blacksite will now spawn with an Anti-Riot MEC. Also, the followers of the MEC will now scale with forcelevel, which they don't in vanilla.

Forge:
The type of Sectopod encountered on the Forge mission will now scale with forcelevel. If you get there really early, you will encounter a weak Prototype Sectopod. In the midgame, a regular Sectopod is stationed there. If you reach it very late, you will run into Sectopod Prime. This is true for all difficulties.

Psigate:
You will run into the Chryssalid Queen here.
All solitary Chryssalids are Hunterkillers.

Broadcast Tower:
Predefined pods use ABA variants, mostly Archons and Mutons.

Leviathan:
Scattered ABA variant units, including Primes, all over the various pods that are used for this mission.

Increasing pod size even further

Yeah. Thank you DerBK. I kinda of figured that, using bigger squad sizes would be better to manage the mod. But I think some of the custom enemies I have aren't really helping, like Custodians, Advent Psi Ops, and Heavy Troopers. I had to do the first Blacksite about 4-5 times just to even complete it there were so many enemies.

I see. I just wanted to be sure. Thank you so much for your incredible modding contribution to the game. And for your quick reply. You are awesome.

The switch is unproblematic.

I mean, the mod does what it says in the description. If you would ordinarily have encountered a pod of 4, this mod makes it 6. It doesn't give more pods than vanilla. If you have 4-5 pods per mission, that's an extra 8-10 enemies, sure.

Is it normal in May in a very difficult mission, legendary difficulty to get a total of 25 enemies? It seems so excessive. I play with an 8 man squad and it was absolutely impossible to handle 6 mutons, a skirmisher, 2 archons, 3 mechs, 3 lancers, 6 vipers, 2 sectoids and 2 troopers/officers. I don't have any dark event for more enemies at missions, i had the non plus version and decided to switch to the plus version mid playthrough.

Well, this is the version for playing with bigger XCOM Squads yourself - if you play with standard squad sizes, then things could indeed get ugly unless you are overpowered in some other way.

There is also a version for normal squad sizes (without the PLUS in the name).

Great mod, if you have very strong/overpowered classes for your soldiers. Couldn't figure out why I was having such large pod sizes, after browsing my mods. Not having checked them in so long, I quickly found this was the culprit. I was getting 1 Muton, and 4 Legionnarie Mutons. Special Sectoids from my other mods, and a whole swarm of enemies crashing onto the map.

Don't use multiple mods that increase pod size.

Also want to know about diverse aliens by force level

It's just gonna crash the game or the mod will just not work?
I have Diverse Aliens By Force Level WOTC
DerBK  [author] 27 Apr @ 4:24am
It does not.
