If you fling to the exit before taking out the turrets, you're stuck. Instead of having the button in the gel room flip a useless panel, have it open a panel in the ceiling to expose the button stalk.
You can get to the square button under the entrance with the lightbridge on the panel which is the faithplate target, then dropping onto the bridge through the grate .
