SCATTEGORIES** - UPDATED

Description
Objective

Quickly fill out a category list with answers that begin with the same letter. Score points if no other player matches your answers.
Double points if your answer uses the letter twice at the beginning of each word. For example: If letter is R, double points would be awarded to answers such as Ronald Regan or Brady Bunch for the letter B. Adjectives are not acceptable such as - Beautiful Beach
To win the game, score the most points.

Play
The game is played in 3 rounds. To play a round, do the following steps.
1. Pick a list you want to use from the deck and give each player a copy of that list.

2. Roll the die to select the letter that will be used for this round.

3. Start the timer for a 3-minute countdown.

4. All players quickly fill in 12 answers on the notecard in their hidden area. Each answer must fit the corresponding category and must begin with the letter rolled on the die.

5. When the timer stops, all players must immediately stop typing and move their notecards out of their hidden area.

6. Scoring the round: Players in turn read their answers aloud. Players give themselves a point for each acceptable answer that doesn't match any other player's answer.

7. Players get a new note card and roll the die for the next round. The same list is used for 3 rounds.

Winning the game
After 3 rounds have been played, the player with the highest score wins. In case of a tie, players who tied play one more round with a new letter. The player with the highest score in that round is the winner.

Rules for Acceptable Answers
The first word of your answer must begin with the rolled letter.
The articles "A", "An" and "The" cannot be used for rolls of A or T.
The same answer cannot be given more than once by a player in the same round.
When answering with a proper name, you may use first or last name as long as the rolled answer is the first letter of your answer.
Challenged answers
While answers are being read, other players may challenge their acceptability. When an answer is challenged, all players (even the challenged player) vote on whether the answer is acceptable. Majority rules, in the case of a tie, the challenged answer doesn't count.

Variants
Extra points:
When answering with proper names or titles, score an extra point for using the rolled letter more than once as the first letter in the words of your answer.
Time challenge:
For extra challenge try setting the timer to 2:30 or 2:00 countdowns.

Was excluding the R in Scattergories intentional?
