The Alkurah was built around the core concept of a fuel super tanker; one with a 'detachable fuel tank' and kind of blossomed around that. unfortunately i built it around the main tank part, rather than having the foresight to build the tank as a detachable SV. The finished craft features an incredible fuel capacity, in addition to spacious interiors that are easy to modify, a fully functional gravity cannon, and staggered mounted weapons (quite effective for piercing thick or spaced armor, or for borrowing through terrain) unfortunately due to the fact that it doesn't have particularly heavy armor itself, it isn't exactly well suited to multiplayer games.

please note, If the gravity cannon is discharged while there are other players moving about the ship, chances are that they will all instantly be flung against the forward wall, (most likely) breaking all thier legs!) :)

I like the design. Plenty of space for some small vessels, decent cargo space, and enough weapons to take down any POI and many of my own ships that I have designed. There are however, two things that I suggest you change.

1) Space out the fuel cells or put combat steel between them.
If the armor over the fuel cells gives and a fuel cell is hit, a chain reaction will occur that will destroy all fuel cells and render the ship defenseless.

2) Relocate the core.
If someone or a POI is firing at your ship from the correct angle, your core, and a few other things, are highly exposed, as they are only covered by each other and a window.

If you fix those two things the Alkurah will be perfect.

Its a damn good ship. I'm sorry for the poor humour, but first time I saw it I have to admit, the design reminded me so much of how some HVs use the harvester my first thought was, "damn, I'd hate to see the tree that was made for".

@derpy Gravity Cannons are a series of gravity generators that form a tube to propel players from 0 to 600m/s in a near instant. Getting the tubes built in such a way that it wont kill the occupant is a bit tricky sometimes, but the variable in length of the barrel determines the overall speed of the cannon. Also of note, make sure to place a generator on each size of the barrel. There should be four per segment, one to a side, while going down the barrel. How it works is that Grav Generators overlap in their gravity field, so having 128 generators (on the ship I built) means that there is 128x normal gravity in that localized zone. My cannon was a CV vessel to allow repositioning, and fired players at an average of 600m/s.

the gravity cannon is a cool idea and i would love to know how it works! i find it fun to mess with gravity even on a singleplayer server.

I'd just remove all the guns.... They botched the combat so bad with the limited gun type you can have at once. Combat builds are all the same, max number per gun type leaving most all player ships the same. I have not played since the last major overhaul but ship builds are the same besides the lag shot builds which i dont know if they fixed or not?
