Buck Rogers; Battle for the 25th Century

Description
TTS Version of TSRs Buck Rodgers Board game.
The game is very similar to Axis & Allies or Risk, played on a board that represents the entire solar system. Board Scans by Elder_Salt.

Agreed, where are the cards and the planet markers?

I'm glad someone with skill added this game.
Question: where are the cards?

I used a "patch based approach." hehe, Meaning I just scanned them in parts and then smoothed any issues by reapplying the regions themselves and then applying some blends, hence the ugliness. There are a few blotchy bits and broken lines to fix. I will post final scan soon. This will results in a higher res than a photo (at least, I don't have that nice of a camera/lens) and will be in true RBG color.

Very nice looking board, what was the scanner/ method you used again. I've also added your board to the update.

The dithering you see is an example of what happens when you squish 10,000 pixels into 1800 in a rush. The working copy is crisp and pristine, and I'll post it at some point at various resolutions, if anyone else wanted to work on it or add things for expansions or what ever.

Thanks, it wasn't nearly done, there were lots of scoffs and misaligned segments. I could finish it off in 30 minutes or less, but I'm too tired. Here is a "low res" version. The final print was over 10,000 pixels wide, and when all the little jaggies are fixed it will be a board worthy of the great warrior himself. Thank you for giving me credit, that's some good stuff. Here is a link to the last stuff I did on this guy, cut down to a mere 6mb png: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1scc6EG8fbtxNKbVRm1YYu7Oc_Ra2dSz3

Hey, I added you're board to the mod, with one board it still slightly blured near the egdes, though I left it in PNG format. It's still much clearer (as you can actually read the names on territoires now) Also might do good as a locked board instead of it as a custom table. I'll leave you the credit for the board scan it the update notes.

Hi, this has become sort of a minor restoration project. I'm kind of insane, if you hadn't figured that out. Anyway, here is around where the thing looks now. I'm removing history's natural desaturation, the creases, etc. Going through this old box, I'm amazed at how easy kids were to please back in the 80s. There's mini poker chips, the gold hero pawns look like sh*t (my memories preserved them as something much more), there's of course the issue of the Pastel Colored Easter Fleets of Death which I don't think anybody understood, etc. Here's a link to the board in progress:

Despite this copy barely being used, years of it being knocked around from one moving truck to the next have left it in need of a little SRGB overhaul.

About 3/4 in, just need to force myself to stop trying to make everything pristine :D

Jeez. That's brilliant. Although I'm kind of a wiz with GIMP so it's not so bad as it sounds. Haven't had time to finish this yet. I've hardly done any gaming for weeks. Will try to knock it out soon. A prepared photograph would work, it would just be time spent in a different direction. Pre-production instead of post, or something.
