Description
Torchbearer is a dungeon crawling RPG by Luke Crane and Thor Olavsrud, which shares many flavour similiarities with old school style, but with a modern game design. Every choice has costs and benefits and must be carefully pondered - the management of the really (smartly) limited space in the inventory; what to use (and when) among torches, candles and lanterns; the expensive downtime activities when returning in town (hopefully with some treasure!). Many persons compare Torchbearer to the Darkest Dungeon videogame.

Every single skill is fundamental (even Cook and Laborer), weapons and armors have different effects based on which weapon and armor they are facing (bows and crossbows are particularly effective agains leather armor, while maces and hammers are better against chain and plate ones; flails can negate shield benefits, and so on).

Conflicts are based on simultaneous and secret actions selection (with cards), and there are several kind of conflicts. You won't stay alive long if you go straight with "kill or be killed" conflicts, but you can also attempt to make enemies flee, or capture them, or convince them, or banish them - or, if you're really in danger, it may be a good idea to have a conflict to escape from them. Every monster has different strenghts and weaknesses based on the conflict that has been triggered. Gnolls, for example, are really strong in conflicts where you are trying to escape, while dragons are really difficult to capture.

This mod has working character sheets, cheat sheets, cards, and a parchment-flavoured sheet for the party's cartographer.

Finally! I was ready with cards and scanner to do my own module (because last time I needed it there was none), but thought "let me first check if in the meantime someone did it already", and here you go!
And I am italian as well!!!!

Very well done!
I was thinking of scanning in my Torchbearer cards for when I'd run the game myself, but you saved me the trouble!
Thanks!
