Companion cavalry were typically armed with a long-reach spear, about 6 feet in length. Along with this, a leaf-blade, built for slashing.

This companion cavalry is armed with a spear that reaches out, giving it extra damage upon impact as well as reach. The companion cavalry's horse is also heavily armored in the front. But it is vulnerable from the sides and is not good at charging through dense formations.
