Bloody hell, ive been dying to the laser rebounding everywhere more than i've willingly tossed the boxes into the water out of frustration. Meanwhile im seeing some missing textures on the metal struts just around the stairs at the start and ending elevators.

Will it's been almost 4 years sense I first tried to beat this test chamber. I decided to play it again,
and after several hours I finally completed the test.I enjoyed the satisfaction of walking out the exit.:steamhappy::steamthumbsup:

That is odd, as the dropper is linked to both of those triggers (the catcher and the little thingy - i can't remember the name). But Portal has screwed me over on publishing a couple of times.
I was planning to revisit map making once I had more time; I have some maps in the work.

Played the map again after some time and I found what I think is a bug. I guess the correct solution of getting the second cube is this:

I found that a single activation with only the laser catcher is sufficient:

Thanks for the feedback. I agree mostly. I had it as part of a series - the desire to make a portal retrieval chamber was forced by my need to do it. But, like you said, it isn't one of the worst out there :)

I used think BEEmod overgrown was ok but I've sort of hit the point where I'd just prefer it if all maps used clean style, but thats just my preference. There are several guides on how to make good chambers that I recommend you check out, although this map is a year old so maybe you've improved (I haven't seen your latest stuff)

I didn't enjoy this map but its almost decent.The first room was passable with some problems with not giving elements space. The second room is the real problem. Its pretty impossible to make a decent rotating portal gun puzzle, you did a good job with making it a puzzle but I didn't enjoy the waiting of the portal to go where it needed to. I really didn't expect the laser to go through the pedistal and I still think thats odd that happens. Some of the laser angles are a bit tight and could use a little work with maybe shorter walls to give the player some wiggle room. The biggest eyesour in the whole map is having 3 buttons in a tiny room, every object needs space to breath. Cube buttons typically should not be touching a wall or another cube button in my opinion. I feel like this map has potentiel but needs improvement.
