Tocharian Empire (Tarim)

Description
The Tocharians were the main actor involved in the silk trade during all Ancient Times. This people lived in Wester China (Xinjiang), in the Tarim Bassin, they were merchants, shepherds and good horsemen. Repelled towards West by turco-mongol tribes, they eventually established the powerful Kushan Empire at the beginning of the first millenary.

Sapadbizes from the Tocharian Empire (Tarim)

Tarim City-States
+2 for Oasis. Caravans gain 100% extended range.

Yuezhi bowman
Replace the composite bowman. 100% bonus versus mounted units.

Silk Route trading post
Replace the market. More expansive than the market, it must be built in cities near desertic tiles. While constructed, it permits to create another trade route and gives a caravan and a silk merchant. +2 for oasis. Caravans gain 100% extended range. 2 merchant specialists' emplacement. +2 .

Silk merchant
Replace the scout. A Silk Route trading post is required in order to build it. Can sell exotic goods while adjacent to stranger territory (15 et 3 ).
Can only defend.

WARNING ! Require Brave New World

The Tocharian civilization is extremely adapted to economic strategy involving trade routes with other civilizations, thanks to its ability to create many trade routes, to send silk merchant who can explore the map in order to find new commercial opportunities and eventually sell exotic goods abroad, et vendre leur cargaison, and to reach very far cities by caravans (up to 60 hexes !)
However, if absent is the desert, every economic strategy will be unsuccessful (no market, so no bank, and so on and so far). So remember, desert is the very embodiement of paradise for Tocharians.

Ah OK, I understood script as "map script". Yes, they were various scripts discovered in the Tarim Bassin, from various era. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to find information about Tocharian states as they aren't well-known

The question about the Basin was in relation to the Tocharian letter "a", that's all.

No, it is a stand-alone civ, like the majority of civ-adding mods.
I don't understand your question about the basin, what do you want to say ?

I see. And this doesn't replace any pre-existing civs, right? Also, weren't multiple different (but similar?) scripts found in the basin?
