Named Pets

I'm no longer updating my Starbound mods, so they might not work as intended. Feel free to update and upload any of my Starbound mods.


Gives a generated name to your pet.
This mod uses the base game pet name generator that is used for quests.

Every monster of the same species gets the same name per planet.
For example, all Poptops may be called Poots on one planet, and Hoodge on another.

This mod is incompatible with anything that modifies capturable.lua.
So mainly other pet mods. Test them out, most probably don't modify capturable.lua...
I know that Useful Pets modifies capturable.lua, so don't use that or tell me to make a compatible version or something.

Recommended mod:
Outpost Pet Healing Station to heal your lovely pets in the early game. Nice self-promotion, jerk!



Also I made another version of this mod if you only want names for randomly generated creatures.
