Fear Bomb

Description
Overview

Adds a new heavy weapon that causes panic in an area of effect.

The damage, radius, and shredding are all less than the traditional rocket launcher, but the enviornmental damage is the same.

Feel free to leave critique or ideas.

Rainmaker compatibility:
Requires Rainmaker for other heavy weapons

Long War 2 compatibility:
As far as I can tell, with my understanding of long war 2, it should work fine. I personally am not far enough into my campaign to properly test it, but it should unlock the same as typical heavy weapons, meaning it is not available for the technical gauntlet, but works fine with E.X.O suit and such. If this is not the case, please let me know.

cool idea! Maybe its a sonic weapon with some crazy loud sound coming out of it: that would get a squad to scatter away in panic

Looks interesting. I like the idea of removing most or all of the damage and having it function as a aoe flush attack.

you could make it compatible w/ the 'Rainmaker for other heavy weapons' mod pretty easily w/ an XComRainmaker.ini file that looks like this

[Rainmakerforotherheavyweapons.X2Effect_RainmakerModSupport]
; Fear Bomb
+OverwriteDamage=(HeavyWeaponAbilityName=FearBombAbility, Damage=2, Area=0, ConeEnd=0)

(thats the only name for the Fear Bomb ability I found, is it right, btw?)

@Artek I was thinking it as not an "explosive" but gives the player a mass flush ability. No damage what so ever.

Its definetly a neat idea, although the bomb counter-acts itself.
It destroys surroundings (cover), but enemies that panic change the position anyway...
Hey at least they wont have to move during the next turn
