-----It's about time!-----

A map that now introduces you to one of my favorite forge maps from the videogame Halo 4 now brings a fun, build, and ocean scenic environment to the steam workshop.

This map includes:

-A large ocean area.
-Three islands of which one is large, one is medium, and one is small.
-A detailed spawn room with three teleporters.
-Cubemaps for realistic reflections.
-Ai nodes.
-A detailed 3d skybox replicating that of Halo 4 (also has familiar structures such as floating skyscrapers).
-Editable skybox with clouds.

TheOgre26 map collection has a description composing of a list of future projects. I hope you enjoy this map and I will bring more exciting maps in the future.

Halo 4 is the first Halo game I have ever played, and my twin got it for his birthday when it came out. Ever since I playing around on the forge maps I was compelled towards the geological art. Forge island was my first inspiration to make a gmod map because it was so basic and easy to work with as far as its topographic simplicity.
So far the new custom water texture has proved unsuccessful primarily because there is a dire lack of internet tutorials on what not to do when making all the necessary tool textures/texture frames for custom water; I am still determined to circumvent.
I also have the Halo 3 forge map that I was recommended by a friend to replicate called, "The Guardian Forest", slowly in development now.

What did you think of Halo 4? btw, the map is pretty flawless, I didn't noticed any bugs or problems when I was messing around. Good luck on your goal, I beleive you'll be able to accomplish it :)

So, I am not new to making complex textures that reflect light and cast shadows at different angles. Becuase I am very new to making custom water, the .vmt programming is significantly more advanced (this meaning that the material requires a diffuse texture, an normalmap texture to refract light, a flowmaptexture, a flowmapnoisetexture that I still have no idea what it does but is still mandatory, and all the textures have to be animated with at least 20 frames to be realistic). - map gm_forge_island (Load the map)
- buildcubemaps
- disconnect
- mat_hdr_level 0
- map gm_forge_island
- buildcubemaps
- disconnect
- mat_specular 1
- mat_hdr_level 2
- map gm_forge_island (Load a different level; it clears the texture cache)
- map gm_forge_island (Load the map again)

If you have missing texture reflections, I reccomend you do mat_specular 0 in the console. Thank me later!
