READ FIRST: If you experience lags when the ship is turned on, it comes from the performance impact of all the lights turned on at the same time. Im working on a V2.0 with motion sensors that will fix this problem but it will take some time, you can press "T" to turn off every lights to fix it and still use it as it is.


Hello guys I'm here to present another replica from Star Wars, this time a capital vessel: the Venator star destroyer. I loved the model made by Arturius but the interior didnt had a SW feeling, it was more like a classical Empyrion vessel design in my opinion. So i decided to completly refit it from the shell of the ship, and change some details on the exterior with the permission of its original author of course.

Im not gonna talk about turret loadouts as its the same from the original blueprint, i've only replaced the plasma turrets on the side with artillery turrets, it makes the ship goes above the weapon limits but its more realistic imo.

Small update: noticed some texture were missing, i've fixed it if you see more please let me know :)

Exterior changes:

On the exterior part of the ship, a few things have change from the original version. I've just made the bridges window bays larger, added some windows here and there and added a big new set of shutter doors to copy the behavior of the dorsal hangar doors of the ships in the movies. On the purely cosmetic part, I've changed the bridges colors to their alternative red painting.


New Interior Architecture:

To design the new interior, I've mostly took inspiration from Star Wars old games I've played (KOTOR I&II, Dark Forces serie, Jedi Academy...) and the few interior pics and plans of the Venator available online. The new interior is devided into 7 different levels with a sublevel 2B, the Main Hangar Bay being the level 0 and the Bridges the level 7 that are accessed by two series of turbolifts.

Logic System:

This ship also houses a lot of different logic systems: you can open and close the dorsal shutter doors via a lever situated in the port bridge, the reactor can be opened to access warp tank and drive via two levers, ... But the main logic system is the "docked ships tracking system": via a set of red flares, it lets you know from the port bridge if a ship is docked to one of the 8 hangar bays or one of the 12 docking pads from the main hangar bay control room. Ex: if the flare labeled "1" is turned on, a ship is docked on pad 1.

WARNING: Don't cross the laser detector situated above each docking pad or you'll reset the logic system. If you do it by accident, its gonna turn off the red flares, you just have to undock and dock again the vessel to debug it.

-Port Bridges: Starfighter flight command with hangar tracking logic system
-Starboard: Main command helm and piloting roof


All meant-to-be compatible vessels are listed in "Required Elements " even if they're absolutely not required, other SV may work aswell but its just that its not guaranteed. I've modified very slightly the ETA-2 and the V-Wing replicas by Arturius again to make them compatible with the docking pads.

The ship is so huge i may have forget to texture some parts or so, if you find anything please let me know in the comments.

_Added more O² tanks so now you actually fill the interior with oxygen.
_Added ventilator in areas that didnt had oxygen.

@Shammok I'll take a look at it, I think it may comes from a lack of o² tanks. Theres probably too much space to fill even with all the tanks full, it had this issue before. I'll search for a leak too.

See now it would be cool to have mods that changed people armor to a droid or a clone then start a server.
Which would be awesome because you would get to see the stock ships given to commanders who complete missions for a council leave a courasant like world. Then the even better part would be to see them customize their venators and then watch them get blown up as they run away in escape pods. Aww only have to wait.....

Hello guys, I've played the game again yesterday and noticed the ship was a lot laggy due do the amount of lights turned on at the same time. I htink this comes from one of the recent pacthes as i did not experienced it before.
So im working on fixing this by adding motion sensors for lights, also updated the weapon control rooms and the reactor room to fit the new warp drive model better. By the way they seem to have fixed the FPS drop with ships docked, as i barely experience small lags when turning with all hangars full.
