Description
|------------------------NOTICE-----------------------|

Due to how old and decrepit source engine is, this map might have performance issues, they are incosistent from person to person so i don't know what causes it besides the engine itself and addon conflicts

also, i don't work with source engine anymore, so this map won't be updated, you can decompile and mess with it yourself if you want

You can technically play this map with vanilla weapons placed throughout the map, but it was designed and balanced around custom weapons like TFA, CW, and such

|------------------------FEATURES---------------------------|

  • 30-35 minutes of gameplay, depends if you not rush through

  • A tiny bit of some secret places, they usually contain ammo and weapons

  • Working checkpoint system (unfortunately it doesn't retrieve your weapons, that would require a lua coding which i'm not experienced in, also if you'll play with custom weapons the script could not work properly with them)

  • Relatively detailed environment (as far as Source Engine can allow without breaking apart)

  • Diverse location design

  • Few gameplay features from classic HL2

  • Absolutely no playthrough hints, i want player to explore the map and think on his own, it's not an open world game and it's not containing any hardcore puzzles, so getting lost or stuck is highly unlikely (unless it's a bug), Doom (1993) didn't contained any hints yet it is still the best game ever

  • Coop support, tested with 2 players, should work with more

  • All content is packed inside, nothing is needed, sandbox version of the map included

I like how it's in New York City (or any of the regions it takes place) like in the beta version or concepts, it really makes it more accurate to the original concept to the game.

Performance is fine if you don't have 3000 addons, gets better when you're underground and optimization checks are in place. Very good quality.

Pretty lovely visual can be seen, but lacks with endless waves of enemy spawn, that totally break my first impression. Final combat is even acceptable if compare to the middle ones.

after playing it

its a beautifully stunning map, don't get me wrong, but the enemy placement is just spam, the map runs like complete dogwater, and it feels impossible to play without being on 2 FPS

safe to say, 8/10 in how it looks, 3/10 on how it plays
