Songs of Our Fathers

HOI4 Version: 1.7.x

The aim of this mod is to promote immersion through (mostly) historically accurate music that captures and promotes the national spirit of the major combatants of the Second World War. Songs of Our Fathers revives and expands the work of Abraham's Atmospheric Music Pack.

Songs fit within several categories: 1) Nation specific songs (war, peace, national); 2) Politically aligned war songs; and 3) General songs (war and peace). The songs also fall between those that are historically accurate and those that of a "movie score" type that paint the haunting image of war during the Second World War.

Nations included: USA, UK, Germany, USSR, France, Japan, and Spain.

Compatability
This mod is compatable with any and all other mods, including total conversions.

This mod will be updated frequently and suggestions are welcome.

There are a lot of new songs, mostly to the USA, including the obligatory Johny Horton's "Sink the Bismarck" in celebration of Man the Guns. I *may* get around to providing a newly updated list if I can find it (I was in the middle of an extensive move when I last worked on this project).

Updated to 7.1.x using the existing in-game stations. Overall, I really like the new changes and fits this mod perfectly and will have great influence over the future direction of the series. What I would like to do is create country-specific channels as well, to keep in the spirit of the original project, as well as ideological-focused channels. I would like to then broaden it to niche channels also (e.g., marches, Christmas songs). Using this system, a particular song can appear on more than one channel (e.g., Bing Crosby's White Christmas can appear with the Allies channel, the Christmas Channel, and the USA channel simultaneously, each with different rules).

I'm just now getting around to updating this. Had some significant RL events that got in the way, PhD dissertation, moving 300 miles, starting a new career, etc. I am doing a quick pass to use the existing channel structure to adapt the mod. Moving forward, I will parse out some very fine channel selection options. Update later today!

@_Decks_ could you please update your music mods? Paradox updated the music system to have different radio sections that you can turn on or off and contain certain songs which had made all music mods incompatible.
