Bully is one of my all-time favorites, right up there with the Grand Theft Auto franchise. I'd even place it alongside the Max Payne dilogy. The game is incredibly immersive, and the mechanics are fantastic. That healing system, though, was something else. The characters in the game are straight up psychopaths, narcissists and pretentious pricks but they’re also really endearing. The soundtrack is absolutely amazing; Shawn Lee is a genius. The missions are fun, and the combat feels great.

However, the biggest downside is that the game crashes every 10 minutes. Honestly, it crashes more than Fallout: New Vegas, making it borderline unplayable at times. Fortunately, you can find an easy mod to fix this with a quick search on Nexus. The camera work can also be pretty clunky, especially during combat. I've lost count of how many times I’ve accidentally punched my own teammates due to awkward camera angles. Also, despite the fantastic soundtrack, it’s not properly synchronized, and you'll notice it well into the game.

Bully really feels like one of Rockstar's neglected gems. They abandoned it, but thankfully, the modding community keeps it alive.

Overall, I’d give Bully a solid 8.5/10.

It was a great experience, and I really hope they make a Bully 2 someday.
