Is Dead Island good? Yes it is … but it isn’t at the same time. It’s inspired, but turgid. Brilliant, but flawed. Fun, but infuriating. If you’ve never played it before, the Definitive Edition may just provide you with enough of a laugh to be worth picking up.

same thing with dying light 2. i love it, and hate it. zombies are fun to kill, but not to fight. cool to parkour, not cool to be screwed over by newton rko'ing you with some bs. zombie games just make you angry but you refuse to hate them, eg: dying light, dead island, days gone
