TLDR: The game is very good there are just bugs that need fixing and game balancing issues.

I am writing this as constructive criticism not as a means to bash the game or the developers. That being said, FIX THE DODGES. Every single time I fight a boss in this game I'm getting hit/grabbed by attacks in the MIDDLE of my dodge. And yes I am sure that it is in the middle of the dodge because I am taking clips and looking at them in slow motion. Releasing a souls like game and arguably the most important feature--dodging--doesn't even work properly 100% of the time. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the game and everything but this game came out like a month ago and an issue with the dodge mechanic is just EXTREMELY frustrating and is unacceptable. Something like this should have never even made it into the finished product. Furthermore, the hitboxes seem to be a little bit off. Often times the actual hitbox for an enemy attack is in front of the character model making it that much harder to dodge attacks. I am sure anyone reading this review can imagine how frustrating it is to die in a boss fight to an attack that, 1 didn't even actually land, and 2 was in the middle of your dodge. Also PLEASE fix the amount of enemies and enemy placement in a lot of the areas. There were dozens of instances that there would be an enemy just sitting on the edge of a platform or something and the moment you try to jump to them they instantly knock you down making it incredibly difficult to deal with them. What's more, the enemies and bosses in this game love to just absolutely spam attacks at you giving you very little time to attack. Additionally, It feels nigh impossible to traverse most places in this game without getting jumped by a swarm of enemies who attack you simultaneously the MILLISECOND they see you. I mean I'm talking in one given area there will be like 20-40 enemies; and no that is not an over exaggeration. A perfect example of this is the curdled town that you enter after beating heikea the intimidation crab. You go in there and are immediatly greeted by like 3 relatively strong crabs while at the same time you are getting sniped at by another crab that is at the complete other end of the town. It only gets worse as you move your way up the town. There are like 15-20 enemies just naturally around plus another probably 15 will pop up out of the ground when you are just moving your way up. It is literally not possible to fight the enemies sometimes because if you even try to engage in combat you are just going to get swarmed by 5 other enemies by the time you're done with the first one. It would be MUCH better and more enjoyable to have maybe 10-15 enemies at a place the size of the curdled town, all with enough space in between them that you should never be fighting more than 3 at once.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy playing this game, I really do, because when it's good it's GOOD. the world is very cool and unique in my opinion, the characters are good, quirky, and well written with a lot of good dialogue. And the game-play and combat is not inherently bad, it's actually quite good in my opinion. But due to the reasons listed above the game can be quite annoying.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! I bought this game on dec 3rd when it was 50% off and played it on dec 4th after it finished downloading. When I tried to play the game it caused my computer to hard crash 3 times and after the 3rd time my pc stopped turning on. So I did some research on what was going on with my pc and eventually narrowed it down to my gpu. So I decided to take my gpu out and take a look. This game literally melted my gpu power cables into the sockets. For reference I have a RTX 3080 ventus 3X plus 12g OC LHR graphics card. And yet this games absolutely horrid optimization managed to surge my gpu. So now I’m out several hundred dollars all bc of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.
