Eden Crafter has done what Planet Crafter hasnt in many ways. So if your asking if it is worth trying since it is similar, my answer is a definite YES! Planet Crafter never really listened to player demand and opinions since for just over 1 year, they worked on getting it to multiplayer capability, while ignoring player requests and demands for improvements and more to do. And when they did release a new Biome, the rewards were very few and with the Volcanco Biome, it killed my graphics card ability and kept crashing. So at that point just when they released multiplayer, I could no longer play it on my laptop.
Eden Crafters has given Planet Crafter fans a new life what with the added feature of product automation. Where planet crafter uses drones to transport a few items at a time, Eden Crafter uses the typical product automation that is very easy to set up. It includes an impressive in-depth inventory guide which is very helpful in he early days to see what is made in with what machine and what is needed. It is much easier to get around and advance faster. What took a lot of stages to get through with Planet Crafter, this one follows a far better development system that follows a natural flow of progression. You can look under tasks to see what needs to be done to unlock more features and move forward. Follow this, and you cant go wrong.

There is a drone feature which enables you too look around you and take screenshots and a clear map with markers of your mineral deposits. There are even vehicles from a jeep to zip around in to rollers that can shape and manipulate the the ground and even a ship to fly around in. The terrain is realistic and carefully detailed with gorgeous graphics of the ore that sparkles and responds with the environment around it as it changes. The trees are realistic matching common ones in our wilderness from Birch to Sycamores which can be cut for wood and seeds collected to grow your own later on. The music is relaxing and uplifting and pleasant to listen to while exploring or designing.

I like details taken to make game play supportive, like the long distance we can zap some ore from. Saves alot of unnecessary running around. The warehouse feature is a huge feature. Once you get this, you no longer have to lug thing between bases what with this interlocked storage system. No matter where you are, you have access to it! Customer Support is impressive having used it myself when I simply got stuck, customer support even hopped onto my game to help me!

I highly recommend this game and look forward to what else is to come. With it only in its early days, it has already surpassed my expectations comparing it with Planet Crafter. It is already up to where Planet Crafter left and never picked up from yet this one is just beginning where Planet Crafter did not perform!

Im changing my feedback after 60 hours of game-play I find it seems to be developed to be frustrating and a constant up hill battle. Items you need you don't have because its way too far in the tech tree, like defence and exploration should be early in the tree not late. The tree itself should be visible even if not unlocked otherwise your playing blind. Tech tree demands too much on base resources. 40x 3 different items to unlock one branch means maxed out production having to make thousands of base items.

While in passive/peaceful mode I cant get to any silica sand because the bugs attack, even when Ive not triggered them by attacking first. I try get help in the discord and get accused of attacking first when I didnt or not being in peaceful mode which I am. Too easy to blame user error and not admitting its a game bug got me very irritated. In game option I should be able to change aggression level since mine is bugged and I cant. I dont wish to continue with the bug aggression nor intentionally frustrating and demanding tech tree with a new play so Im out!

I feel those who are avoid supporters are those who do know how to use the parameters and behaviours. Some can program it to not even use bots, Im not that clever. Ive seen even negative reviews from programmers that its not well thought out and overly frustrating.

Quotes from just some who I agree with:
"The logic system has been fine tuned to maximise frustration. Any optimisation you can achieve with it doesn't seem to be worth the large amount of time needed to decipher the strange system."

"The bugs are unreasonably hard. A single bug hive spawns in around 3 flying bugs when I'm still on the stage of medium turrets and cubs. It's impossible to deal with at times."

One says not alot of thought has gone into it ... Although alot of thought "has" gone into it to make it HARD AND FRUSTRATING. Its overly frustrating and not a relaxing and fun game where Im constantly monitoring production due to the excessive and frustrating demand from the tech tree to get anywhere you have to work hard. In one level I make 10 of one new item. 10 doesn't seem alot but its the underlying base resources it drains where even having hundreds of various ones Im having to make hundreds more. Then when I get that, the next level demands a new item and two others. x40 of each that demands 40 of the previous one where I struggled getting 10! I mention this in discord and the reply is "just make more". Like put up with it ..yeah, nah ... From this experience, it makes me appreciate Dyson Sphere Programme even more! I was willing to battle through the tech tree but the bug with the bugs killed it for me and the denial I was having genuine issues in discord ... Signing out!

Original view with only 7 hours, wasnt long enough time to see the real depth of the game:
I see a few people have commented on this being "complicated". Well, the reason why, is because the Devs have put alot of thought and content into this. Naturally you have to explore your way through the tech tree and unlock new features that add more and more ability and depth. When I got to the end of the basic tech tree I loved how you have to unlock it, not giving too much away. Being a linux user I found it eezee since there is a game in KDE that I play alot. Its certainly a game for those willing to take the time to follow the tech tree and "think". Yeah, you have to use your brain in this one. Guess thats why I love it, I have a very logical brain that needs feeding. Thumbs up to the Devs. Even after only 7 hours of game play, I see the effort and time put into this. I have given this a nomination for the 2023 awards.

The graphics is a mix between 2D and 3D and its horrid trying to navigate using WASD and not your usual mouse. Tutorial was not complete where it was telling me to do things but not how to do it. I was loosing health with no idea on how to replenish nor when attacked, on how to heal and too early it became night where I was freezing with no idea on what to do to get warm since I was still doing tutorial, then find Im fumbling around in the dark. But in general, its the WASD navigation that killed this for me. I have requested a refund

Absolutely brilliant game concept. Ive been involved in a beta testing round for a different game where the Devs didnt listen to the feedback, and still released it EA (twice the price as this) with the issues. Hence I never bothered buying it! This, is well worth the price and Im enjoying it better than some similar games Ive played at full release. Im looking forward to the updates knowing the Devs are reading and listening to feedback in the forum, since they have released it specifically for the feedback so it can be developed and improved. Makes it very promising and I can see this being at the top of its genre for my liking! Give it a go. I don't believe you will be disappointed ... watch those entities though, they are brutal. A tip without giving too much away is to build a sturdy rig!

Way better than Skyrim what with being able to put your creative flare to use by designing and building settlements with a Simcity-like game play with NPCs you put to work. Only issue is the typical Bethesda constant glitches and freezes. But if you enjoy the game play, you put up with it.

A game where you really do need to learn whats required to build a village with looming forces that create negative influences during the storm season. I have played a few rounds now and am nowhere near so disappointed now when not getting resources I need because I understand the random-like style behind it, to still try and win against the clock/impatience despite the limitations. I am learning strategies and have a set startup layout and game-plan that is now helping me to win more than I lose even when I lack some resources with that luck of the draw. With this strategy, I am working my way up the ladder, now up to level 13 with daily expeditions and play on veteran level. It certainly keeps you entertained...can I win this biome with the level and resources Ive chosen and unlock more on the map to reach teh chests before the season is over!!! The rewards system works where you are never without any gain of progress to be able to advance. I do love that about this game. A great way to keep people playing and addicted. Which I am. I started with a positive review with a moan about not having resources to complete the orders so how can you win, clearly not understanding what random-like game play is, then got pissed when I kept losing and even changed feedback to negative BUT I do like challenges and stuck at it and well, this game is definitely worth the time and effort to get to understand rouge-like game-play and its logistics. So I have changed my feedback to reflect the hours I have now put into it and the respect I now have for this game, I do highly recommend it and I have nominated it in the 2022 game awards.

This game is not worth what they charge for it even on sale! Concept is great, dont get me wrong. However, the tutorial is PATHETIC considering there is so much involved with game-play it doesnt SHOW you how to do things it just tells you what to do but not HOW to do it etc. There's not proper guide like "click on here then click on there etc." and it is necessary because its a very indepth game. It is also buggy (with out mods - I see people assuming others have issues because they must have mods installed), nope yet both a station with people in it and my science ship just disappeared. Others say online its got lost and will be back, Go jump developers if thats part of the game its STUPID without some sort of notice or support on how to retrieve it or where the hell it went. left me with nothing to do since the game revolves around searching using the science ship and menu options arnt clear at all on how to do things like to get another one. I follow the online guides but I dont have options to build a science ship again just all the others. And if your not careful even the bottom left hotkeys disappear like the science did and resetting hotkeys didnt bring it back, only what ships I did have active. I dont know if I will bother with this and consider this a WASTE of MONEY and TIME and VERY disappointing
